Eagles worked out a punter today Luke Elzinga. Wonder if Mann pulled something in practice.

Well that's concerning

It's Washington week. They bring in a left footed punter every single time to prepare for Tress Way.

Well that's good

Josh Sweat was the MVP. Two QB sacks and he was responsible for Baun's INT by grading Thuney straight back onto Mahomes which altered the flight of the throw.

Sweat was the MVP.

You may be right. I do not believe he was more valuable than the whole Defensive. unit. But that is a belief, not a fact.

It’s a QB driven award so 90% of the time the winning QB is going to get it, but the defense won that game and if you were going to give it to anyone from the defense it’s Sweat.

I still don’t know who to root for tonight. I hate the 49ers and Seahawks more than I do the Rams, but the Rams slobbering this off-season makes me want to hate them just as much.

The odd 49ers rivalry that started out of nowhere in 2022, especially with their fans, has me hating them more than any other non-division team in the conference. Toss up between them and the Patriots as to who I dislike more.

Rams deserve the slobbering they have received. They are like the NFL version of what we are going to get to see with the Sixers this season in the NBA. It's going to be something to behold and something that will be fleeting in time ultimately. We will get to witness greatness this year while the Eagles are one of the few teams that might be able to strike down Goliath and stop them. Make them the most worthy and hyped opponent that they can be. It will only make beating them in the postseason all the greater just as we did with the Chiefs.

Question to everyone … If you were putting together a QB grading scale, what criteria would that scale include, and what respective weight would you you assign to each criteria?

Said another way, what do you believe the ideal QB is supposed to do, other than passing?

Been a while since we added a definition to the blogtionary. Though this is a slippery slope where we could debate what mobility is for months again.

Im not sure that Sweat as an individual was "most valuable.” He was one cog in a multi-cog Defense. The Defensive team as a unit was the "most valuable.”

Bday boy was ‘most valuable’. The game was over with his pick 6 pretty much. But ya, as a whole the D deserves a lot of credit.

Absolutely insane and not talked about enough.

You know this is a fake tweet right? He’s 17-12 as a starter before last night. He beat the 4-0 Bills and 6-2 Bucs last year. His 2024 season he lost to a bunch of lousy teams like the Cardinals, Titans, Jaguars and Dolphins. Last year he lost to the Raiders. So it’s impossible that 12 of his career losses weren’t against were against 12 winning record teams.

Nahhhhh. Give it to the whole unit … including Vic.

Sweat was great in Superbowl 59. But so was Hurts. 17/22, 2 passing TDs, 72 yards on the ground and another TD. Literally set the Superbowl record for EPA per drop back. Yeah Hurts playing QB gives him a huge advantage in the competition, but it's not like he shouldn't have been in the conversation either.

I just want an entertaining game, especially after what i watched last night.

Though Stafford is a hard guy not to root for unless he’s playing the Eagles.

Especially since the Chiefs stacked the box to stop the run, pressure him and force him to use arm. Which obviously backfired. Hurts was phenomenal. I still think it should have been the rookie on his Bday who scored a TD on a pick 6.

People who got row 1 sideline seats probably didnt realize theyd be a quarter mile away from the field. This stadium is stupid.

Arm Strength is an attribute of passing

Ball Placement is as well.

As is timing

Ability to Read a Defense is your first one that fits the "other than passing” criteria of the question

Game Management also fits the "other than passing” criteria

So you have Passing, Reading a Defense, and Game Management. Any others?

How much relative weight do you give those three?

Are there things that Hurts does (or attributes that he has) that go beyond (don’t fit into) Passing, Reading a Defense, and Game Management?

Arm strength. Ball placement. Timing. Ability to read a defense. Game Management. Probably most important

Pocket presence. Mobility. Leadership/unflappability. Also in there but maybe graded a smidge lower.

This game being in Australia is stupid

Nick Foles sitting at the table on set as one of the pre game hosts for Netflix for some reason.

How are they even able to play the game upside down?

Too much to ask for an offense that dkesnt rely on having a top 3 defense or 2k yard rusher to win games?

They had the #2 offense in 2022 without a 2000 yard rusher and their defense lost the SB in the 2nd half.

I’m still confused about the Clay Matthews AI photos. Because it’s not just someone that slapped a TMZ watermark on some pictures, TMZ themselves have been posting on verified accounts but say it’s for some kind of Ad. No idea what they are going for.
