Probably not with the talent this team has. Some on here wanted McKee to take the job, which I’m assuming has now died down since the Washington game at the end of last season and how he played in the preseason. Maybe something happens with Burrow demanding a trade in the offseason if Cinci craps the bed but I doubt it.You have Mahomes, Allen, Stafford, and Burrow as your top tier QBs in the league. Then below that you have a bunch of guys who are all in the same boat in my opinion whether it’s Maye, Lawrence, Dak, Caleb, Goff, Herbert, Nix, Purdy, Love, Hurts, Baker, and Darnold. I think all of those guys are capable of winning a Super Bowl but it depends on the team surrounding them.Hurts probably never cracks into that top 4-5 consistently and I’m okay with that. Others aren’t and just think top 5 QBs grow on trees.I think a lot of fans are stuck in the mindset of 20 years ago when there were a lot of great QBs. They want a QB that has laser accurate passing, picks apart a defense and makes minimal mistakes while throwing for over 4,000 yards and elevating the offense. The league just isn't that way anymore. Some of the other QBs they say they want over Hurts make a lot of mistakes too but have more pass yards. Or they perform well in the regular season but choke in the playoffs. Then guys will pick apart Hurts playoffs and downplay it to just 2 good games. Hurts is a winner. He's a dual threat (the run game was lacking last year though) who has intangibles like leadership and clutch play. The state of college football and QBs coming into the NFL is not giving the type of QBs these fans want. So they're stuck in a decades old mindset of drafting a QB with a top 5 pick and him having success instantly and being a better option than Hurts. But look at the list of QBs taken in the first 3 rounds of the draft since after they drafted Hurts (the 2020 class of course had Burrow, Herbert and Love and Tua as well). A lot of these guys have been benched or moved to other teams as well.2021 • Round 1 — Trevor Lawrence • Round 1 — Zach Wilson • Round 1 — Trey Lance • Round 1 — Justin Fields • Round 1 — Mac Jones • Round 2 — Kyle Trask • Round 3 — Kellen Mond • Round 3 — Davis Mills2022 • Round 1 — Kenny Pickett • Round 3 — Desmond Ridder • Round 3 — Malik Willis • Round 3 — Matt Corral2023 • Round 1 — Bryce Young • Round 1 — C.J. Stroud • Round 1 — Anthony Richardson • Round 2 — Will Levis • Round 3 — Hendon Hooker2024 • Round 1 — Caleb Williams • Round 1 — Jayden Daniels • Round 1 — Drake Maye • Round 1 — Michael Penix Jr. • Round 1 — J.J. McCarthy • Round 1 — Bo Nix2025 • Round 1 — Cam Ward • Round 1 — Jaxon Dart • Round 2 — Tyler Shough • Round 3 — Jalen Milroe • Round 3 — Dillon GabrielBe careful what you wish for.

Everyone in the offseason outside of Philly wanted to ignore the AJ red flags when it came to his attitude along with him being older and already having an injury history. But the biggest one was that he flat out quit on his team last year. I don’t care what happened with him or Hurts or the Reddick rumors. That’s the biggest indictment on him. The TO situation was a disaster back in 2005 but he still showed up to play in between the lines. I’m thankful for AJ’s time here. They don’t win a Super Bowl and get to another one previously without him. I think there is an argument you can make that in his stretch here, he’s the greatest WR in franchise history. But he’s on the back 9 now and getting a first for him was great value.

You can’t just move on from a guy like Hurts and assume a blue chip caliber QB is going to get drafted and instantly produce. The overall position has declined and I believe it’s only going to continue to get worse because quarterbacks aren’t properly being developed at the high school and college level. Also, from a mentality standpoint, the goal for a lot of guys has shifted from "I want to win a national championship or stay in a system to be developed” to "I just want to make as much NIL money as possible.” Can’t say I blame a guy for doing that, but I do question their overall motives and goals. And not enough people talk about the type of mentality that you need to have in order to be a quarterback in this city. I think Hurts is masterful with how he navigates the media, remains stoic, gives nothing, and his overall temperament. Those are intangibles that you can’t really coach or develop. You either have it or you don’t.

That's dumb.A.J. Brown was a great Eagle. Best WR we've ever had.None of us really knows about the relationship issues that resulted in the problems that we all watched. None of us can rightly blame.I don't miss Brown's drama. I do wish we still had his production. Until they prove otherwise, I suspect that our WR groups is less strong without him.
September 10Sep 10 AJ has a little Embiid in him. Great player but gets hurt and the team struggles to adjust without him. Also hot and cold in big games.

Hoping and predicting the offense throws to Saquon a lot more than we have been.
