But what’s more likely: a return to the 50 or so, or a 15 yard completion out of bounds to stop the clock?
October 11Oct 11 Just now, e-a-g-l-e-s eagles! said:Michael clay deserves blame for that. Just kick it out of the end zone. Jags basically had to get 15+ yards from the 35 on 1 play and get out of bounds with you guarding the sideline to have a shot at a 70ish yard field goal with a touchback. Heck if it’s incomplete on 1st down the game is basically over unless we get a dumb penalty or a miracleI mean duh. People just don't like Sirianni, that's all.

Two OL were on the PS two weeks ago, the backup RT is playing guard and the RT is a rookie playing his second game. That's not who he is.
October 11Oct 11 I like Hurts. He’s a proven winner and should have won that game but whatever kind of offense they want to run is not working with him.

They couldn't protect when Jags sent more and Hurts/Mannion/Nick had no answer as usual

October 11Oct 11 Blaming the defense certainly is a take. They gave up 16 and 6 of those required a pretty impressive catch.Or we can rightfully blame QB1-half
October 11Oct 11 Coen was so bad today they basically tried to gift the Eagles the game and they still couldn’t win it. Just a disgrace all around. Good news is change is coming and Howie will have a killer trade deadline

That's the kind of thing where it's so routine and so obvious that it's almost babying your coaches if you have to go over there and tell them "Don't kick it to the same guy who burned you earlier."Like. Did the ST coach not watch Miracle in the Meadowlands 2...ever? Do you actually think Sirianni went over and was like "OK. Listen. Kick it to him." LOL

You don't know who was open on any of those plays you just simply want to toss it in his lap. The coach, the scheme, the injuries all bigger issues before you get to Hurts.
October 11Oct 11 Jags coaching staff was handing this game to the Birds on a silver platter. Offense should be embarrassed not taking advantage

October 11Oct 11 Just now, ManuManu said:Sure. But what’s more likely: a return to the 50 or so, or a 15 yard completion out of bounds to stop the clock?New kickoff rules make returns happen more often. They put these new rules in place for the kickoff to have more dynamic returns.I would actually say it is harder to try to get 15 yards with no timeouts with 8 seconds when the defense knows you need 15 yards and can play the boundaries. Heck even if they got 15 yards, they would need a 75 yard field goal to win it. So really to have a better shot they need 20. If they’re able to in eight seconds get 15 yards, get out of bounce, kick a 75 yard field goal and win the game. I tipped my cap to them. Cause I don’t think it’s happening. I’ve seen many more times for first down they throw the ball and it’s incomplete then they have to do a crazy lateral play that ends in a fumble by the Jaguars and Eagles win the game.

I kind of understand both schools of thought…but me, I’m trusting the D given the ST track record.Like it or not, the NFL is getting what they wanted finally with these new stupid KO rules. That exchange of FG’s last week was the first time in NFL history with back to back FG’s to exchange the lead with under 10 seconds left, and now they have it again.

October 11Oct 11 On the positive side, with all the injuries piling up and whatever it is that our O tries to do out there, this just doesn’t appear to our year. If so, and as fun as a win would have been, it’s probably meaningless at the end of the year. The bottom falling out of this team is probably the only thing that leads to massive organisational change plus impact draft position 🤷🏽♂️
October 11Oct 11 1 minute ago, Godfather said:Apparently reality is an issue of you can't except the qb position as been a problem since last yearThe reason I stopped being harder on him than anyone is I realized who he is while some of you can't. A lot of people you'd rather have never lifted their teams past someone like Mahomes. Why? People will say oh their D wasn't good enough or their OL wasn't good enough etc. Hurts isn't as talented as they are. He needs a stable OL more than anything else. The difference is if he has it then he can win while they never seem to get it done even with all their talent.
