I feel bad for the defense, they’re giving it their all and the offense is just not NFL material. They give them no chance they’re going to be outgained in yardage every game. They e scored 3 second half points the last 3 games. And we’re only on this game because Coen kept passing up field goals.

Jags had a mostly healthy offense and should have lost. And Hurts had half his guys he started the season with, backups everywhere and should have won anyway... if not for an inept special teams play. Did what he had to do win that game.

That's not true and you know it. You're just venting off emotion. Come back when you've calmed down

I'm not venting at all. I'm calm as hell while you want to push an agenda.

Those backups gave Hurts plenty of time lots of plays to throw the ball. They couldn't protect when Jags sent more and Hurts/Mannion/Nick had no answer as usual

The answer is you have to throw on time, and throw hot. It's not a hard answer. It's an incredibly hard answer when your QB is really bad at it.

I'm going to say something no one is going to want to hear.

Note: This is the second year in which Hurts has been fairly trivially defeated by pressuring him and making him speed up from having one of the longest time to throw in the league.

...Maybe more of being unable to beat the blitz in 2023 was on Hurts as opposed to Brian Johnson than we thought? Just some food for thought...

The reason I stopped being harder on him than anyone is I realized who he is while some of you can't. A lot of people you'd rather have never lifted their teams past someone like Mahomes. Why? People will say oh their D wasn't good enough or their OL wasn't good enough etc. Hurts isn't as talented as they are. He needs a stable OL more than anything else. The difference is if he has it then he can win while they never seem to get it done even with all their talent.

huh

Cooper was open on the sack. Had to be out quick.

Per usual, Hurts saw pressure and pissed down his leg

That's what Hurts does.

There’s a world where this team is sitting at 4-1 and we’re all rightfully critical of the offense. But two dumbfounding decisions in the past two weeks cost them that.

Blaming the defense certainly is a take. They gave up 16 and 6 of those required a pretty impressive catch.

Or we can rightfully blame QB1-half

Sirianni lost the game with the decision to kick the ball into play at the end. Pure and simple.

That's just not true. He had time once in a while, but not a lot. And zero running game. Hurts actually played pretty well considering the circumstances.

Much better than last week but it was a very good / great 1st half and poor 2nd half. It’s the last part I have an issue with.

It’s better long term for us if we just collapse the rest of the way. ‘27 draft is supposed to be good, we have surplus resources in 2028. Just keep stockpiling and chuck this year in the trash.

Normal levels yeah but once in a while they go WAY beyond the normal and that’s where we are at the moment.

For the most part the Eagles have been lucky with the injury bug. Cam and Landon probably came back sooner then they should have

Just an embarrassing loss when you consider all the turnovers/fumbles, the Jags and their stupid penalties and all their struggles in the red zone.

You guys might have missed it but they had a backup LS too.

That horrendous kickoff is overshadowing the putrid offense

Unfortunately, if that's the case, I don't see how you can win with Hurts having...well, any significant line issues at all. Like does that mean he needs to have a fortress any time you want to have a passing offense that works?

...I mean, it wasn't really working all that well in 2024 either but...

Have they fired that raccoon faced dbag yet?

Talk about lowering the bar

No, it's always Sirianni and the OC. Those hitches that are starting to pop up more have nothing to do with QB1-half feeling comfortable with it. They're trying to sabotage him

Again, that's not who he is. He's not Foles or Keenum who will have the ball out before they break.

Another constant has been Sirianni. Same argument can be made that he’s injecting his influence into the play calls.

I would add to the whole kickoff thing, some of those guys aren’t usually on kickoff unit. Because of the amount of injuries we’ve had some of those guys are playing on kickoff unit that normally aren’t or guys who are now starting playing on KO as well due to injuries

Apparently the medical staff is using the same playbook as Mannion. Nobody knows what the hell they're doing.
