Of course. Do I love Hurts as a QB? No. But Nick is such a bigger issue Hurts is way down the line. So is the scheme. So is the OL because of injuries. They would have two more wins just based on the coach. Howie should have put more into the OL if not the draft then FA. Bell looks good so kudos there, but he had two IOL with broken bodies.

So you have a good Jags defense, no running game at all they have to worry about, Smith is out, DW and the kid played well, but it's not like a safety has to worry about them, PS guys starting vs that good Jags front, and people are shocked Hurts who sucks with pressure missed people or the passing game couldn't carry them.

Not screwed but injuries aren't helping. Neither is having a TE who vanishes for a huge chunk of the game and nothing but crap behind him.

If the offense scored 6 points all game, turned the ball over 6 times, but left the field with the lead before the defense gave up a game winning touchdown people in here would be blaming the defense for choking. It really is surreal watching some of these people's thoughts processes

Hurts was alright in the first half. Hurts and the play calling was once again putrid in the second half. Why doesn’t this offense feature any Hurts designed runs? What’s the point of having a mobile QB if you’re not going to make the defense respect the threat of him running. Defenses don’t even worry about that anymore

With all of their Starters playing, they'd probably still be 3-2.

I don't know. Would a new Head Coach want to come into a situation with a mediocre(to be kind)incumbent QB who only plays well in 'his' system? Hurts is on record saying last year's offense is the one he wanted to run. I suspect a good incoming HC is going to want a pretty clean sweep.

True or false if Nick makes two basic decisions do the Eagles have two more wins? True

Did they have a run game today? No

Did they have two PS guys starting on the OL? Yes

Were people constantly in his face? Yes.

As good as the two WRs played today did they command the attention Smith gets? No

Did the TE vanish for a huge chunk of the game? Yea

Do they have crap depth at TE? Yeah

Did he miss people? Yes

Did he have time on a few throws? Yeah, so did Goldie on the other side who also did so did Stafford last week. QBs do that. Better ones than Hurts.

He's not going to become more after this many years in the league. With pressure he's not suddenly going to overcome it. With no run game and the injuries he's not going to carry them. That's not who he is. Getting upset about it when he isn't more is a waste of your time. I've never said Hurts has no blame. I've said he's way down the list which is correct and you can't expect a guy with limitations to play above them.

Not for nothing, but if Trotter doesn’t get tossed maybe he makes a play on special teams at the end there.

It needs to keep hitting rock bottom, every week, for any significant changes to be made.
