I think Sirianni sucks and makes inconsistent decisions because he has no true feelings for the game or embraces analytics enough, but he gets killed for things he’s right about that end up not working. Just look at going for it last week at the 2 instead of kicking a FG to go up 13. And of course the kickoff return yesterday, which at worst was a 50-50 call.

I made the argument last week I didn’t understand why people were so upset about him trying to get a 3 possession game from the 2. Even his 4 and 3 this week I wasn’t upset about him going for it. Frankly, I said this earlier and last night, I don’t even think it may have came down to punting the ball or going for it there. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was thinking about Jake Elliott kicking a 60 yard field goal to make it 17-10 (made 56 and 58 this year and one was in worse conditions). I really wish a reporter would have asked him what were his options on that fourth down decision.

Frankly going for it to me wasn’t that big of an issue. The bigger issue is their play call that was horrible. So you had lemon covered by their best corner in Hunter. You ran a 2 yard slant, but you didn’t even run the route to the sticks or past it. And Hunter because it was within 5 yards could be physical with him and officials on 4th down likely don’t want to throw the flag in the situation. so it made the route and catch harder along with he’s was going to have to break a tackle to get a first.

As for the kickoff, I still think kick it out of the end zone. When we were all watching the ravens/Cowboys game, I said if the ravens didn’t have a timeout, I kick it out of the end zone. But because they had the time out, I want them to catch it run some of that clock off, make a tackle so that they don’t have enough time to utilize that time out and get into field-goal range. Given this situation, I’m kicking it out. For multiple reasons. First, you don’t have Trotter out there who’s one of your better special teams players. Second had multiple guys on that kickoff unit that aren’t normally on that kickoff unit or playing more snaps than just their normal kickoff/st duties. Third the Jaguars didn’t have a timeout. I am playing the boundary and forcing them to have to be perfect where they catch the ball 15 to 20 yards down the field and get themselves out of bounds. Fourth I trust my defense and fangio more than my kickoff unit who gave up a touchdown at the beginning of the game and were fortune there was a penalty cause the coverage as bad with or without the penalty. I have some more, but I’m not gonna go all into it.

But the more egregious mistake by the eagles was the clock management at the end of that game. It should’ve never come down to the Jaguars even getting a kick off or getting another possession.

Does anyone have any thoughts on why the Eagles were going uptempo on offense in the 2nd half? They should have been looking to shorten the game, given their injuries, given they had the lead and given their second half offense has been atrocious for forever.

I'm sick of hearing about the injuries. They scored 14 points in the first half, then the offense went completely dormant in the second half... AGAIN. This coaching staff is getting taken to the wood shed game after game with adjustments from their opponents in the second half. The only reason the game came down to the last 8 seconds was because Coen kept refusing to take points, and Vic's defense kept keeping them out of the end zone... until the very end. But, once again, the offense couldn't get out of their own way for the entire second half.

It's not fair to ask them to score. That's just not their game

The fact that the Rams are one of the NFL's elite teams over the past few seasons tells you everything about the state of the league lately. Stinks.

The fact that Allen is one of the elite QBs rather than on the level of a very talented but mistake prone Mark Bulger type tells you everything about the state of QBing in the league, which explains my initial statement.

The fact that you feel you need to bash that QB to try to prop Hurts up shows you how much you need the bar lowered to credit your favorite terrible QB.

Although the Allen/Bulger comp was harsh, in reality Josh Allen is worlds better than Jalen Hurts as a passer, and currently also the far better runner too.

Yeah I'm going to defend Hurts because the criticisms of him, among Eagles fans of all places, is absolutely retarded.

"I wish Hurts would run around more like Allen," followed immediately by an interception after he's running around again, should be a sign that maybe running around and playing school yard ball doesn't win.

And oh yeah. Allen actually hasn't won anything and Hurts has. And it's always someone else's fault

They have some injuries. Still, he's done enough to win

Sounds familiar...

I find it more amazing that the bills only have 33 total plays, 19 points, a lead and they’re close to the end of the third quarter. That is a ridiculous stat to me.

Liam Coen should send Sirianni an edible arraignment because his decision of not calling a timeout right away and instead letting almost 20 seconds tick off at the end of the game was the dumber decision of the whole game

He made a bunch of them. He was gifted 1 second at the end of the first half.. and rather than take 3, he chose to go for the TD... again. His moronic game management should have cost the Jags the game.

If Allen swapped places with hurts the bills would win 2-4 games

You’re prob one of the hurts diehards who think he’s better than Allen, aren’t you?

Skill wise, Allen is much better. He can throw it much harder, much faster. He's bigger, he's stronger. Hurts knows how to play in the biggest moments and Allen doesn't.

In the NFL, everyone is searching for the Chad Warrior King QB like captain ahab chasing the f'ing white whale.

When in reality, the way to win the Super Bowl is to build a great team and find a QB who can execute and do his job in the high stakes situations. That's what we have.

You guys keep obsessing over physical traits thinking that one day there will be a QB so good that even terrible coaching and a terrible roster can't stop him from winning a SB. That's the retarded fantasy that the hoagie mouths will chase until they're dead.

Uptempo is one of the few times they have looked good this season, especially the first two games. That’s all I got.

Eagles are running an offense like dial up in the 90s vs the Rams

Yeah I bet you'd trade Hurts for Herbert too.

Keep chasing the dream. One day the Eagles QB will see blitzes before they're called, pass the ball before it's snapped. Until we find that incredible man, nothing will be good enough. Not even one of the most dominating SB performances in history that happened just a couple years ago.

No, let's throw it away on another hero ball spastic QB who can never get over the hump, and it will always be someone else's fault

I know, who wants to have someone that plays in the 3rd quarter all the time.

You can talk all the ish you want about Hurts as an Eagles fan, but by God don't you dare critique our sweet sweet Josh Allen.

Clearly the Super Bowl performances are not something Hurts can do consistently or he wouldn’t have games where he throws for 10 yards in one half. He’s a Temu Russel Wilson

Nice play from Sanders - one of my favourite players from last years draft class

No that's not correct. You just think that because we all have to praise hero ball choke artists who pad stats.

The Bills probably would have beaten the Chiefs at least once and won a SB just like Hurts did here.

Yeah I'd rather have great regular seasons, good point. Always someone else's fault though. Not Josh Allen fault. He's a hero.

Nice straw man including Hebert for absolutely no reason

Hurts ain’t even good enough to hold Mcnabbs jock. If mcnabb had these teams hurts has had, he would’ve won 4-5 super bowls

In what way is Josh Allen a choke artist? I'm just curious. He's been outstanding in the playoffs and his defense has failed him time and time again.

Or does that excuse only work for Hurts?

Only hurts wins alone. His stacked rosters don’t count

Oh but all the Allen strawmen, totally fine.

"If he switched places with Hurts he'd have won eleventy Super Bowl!"

F'ing horse ish. He's had great teams and can't win. Why?

Give me your Josh-scuses. Tell me why he can't even get to a SB. Who's fault is it??

Who is a better QB? Josh Allen or Jalen Hurts?

Oh how I wish we would run screen to the backs.... and toss plays. Our offense has to surprises!!!
