The Bears game we just got the brakes beat off us (again), but the last two games we were very likely winning with different coaching decisions. Don't downplay the dumb coaching decisions. And those two victories would have helped this DECIMATED team right now that has lost 3 straight. And provided much needed moral while the core players get healthy. Injuries had nothing to do with those stupid decisions.

And altough we won against WASH and TEN, the same issues we have now, happened in those games........non stop 3 and outs, lack of production in the 2nd half, bad O-line play, RB's getting contacted behind the LOS.

The injuries do suck, but it is part of the game.

Man, you hit it. The imbecile on the sidelines ruined two games by himself that should have been won and were already really won. That has nothing to do with anything except his stupidity. He comes from a family of coaches and can't make basic decisions people watching from their couch can make.

Mannion is an evil genius

It's hard to be successful on play action when you're running for a yard per carry.

I've forgotten all about the kickoff, poor kickoff coverage, etc. because I'm back to being irked there was a kickoff at all. First down with 25 seconds left on the clock -- it actually didn't even matter that JAX let the clock run from 45 down to 25 before calling their timeout.

When JAX called their timeout to stop the clock with 25 seconds left (leaving them with only 2 remaining) Sirianni needed to bring Hurts over to the sideline to go over the fact all they needed to do was rush the ball forward 3 times, call timeout with 2 seconds left on the clock and let Elliott kick the game-winning FG.

I'm ticked Sirianni didn't do that, and I'm ticked that Hurts -- a 7-year pro -- didn't know to do it. Unbelievable they threw an incomplete pass to stop the clock on first down. Equally unbelievable they threw a pass again on 2nd down, but the mistake had already been made to allow JAX the ball back. The Eagles went from first down to fourth down and only ran the clock down from 25 seconds to 12 seconds. Just horrible.

Run the ball forward is a great concept in theory.

With this Ol, you could be looking at 2 yard losses and a potential forced fumble.

What was the time when he got to the line?

Skimmed through this in the car. Some plays looked fine but many are in that 5 second or less range including the almost safety play. There were a few where they snapped it with 12 or 13 seconds but they weren't the norm. Bickering aside what is taking so long again? The first few weeks it seemed a lot faster. Some of us speculate Nick is getting involved. Is that causing the delay or is SM as inept as KP?

Jalen is a massive problem.

It also appears that Kuper is flying far too low beneath the radar by this point in the season.

There is no shortage of OL talent on this roster. Its non-stop blown assignments since pre-season and its not getting any better.

Sirianni should be well below both of those guys on the list of issues.

And Im not sure we can evaluate Mannions offense properly either because if he wants all these condensed sets and 2 TEs for blocking, then Kuper needs to make sure his guys know who to block. We do see WRs open all over the field. Strong evidence that what Mannion does works. But the OL...

Are you off your rocker? "There is no shortage of OL talent . . ."

Ball is a 3rd rd rookie, he may grow into the job but he wouldn't be starting on 20 teams, including this team which drafted him to sit a season.

Lumpkin is a great story, but he was a UDFA, gave up two matador rushes, settled down and blocked ok, but at OG is never going to move out full sized DL.

Majors was a solid college center, but also a UDFA b/c he's a limited athlete. Promoted off the PS b/c they were down to their 4th center in 3 weeks.

Steen has been meh, I think he's better suited to LG with Morris (who obviously isn't ready for prime time duty as a 6th rd pick who has to work on technique at guard) at RG NEXT season.

They can't get movement or seal off players in the zone runs, they pass block decently but get beat cleanly too often and struggle with communication against blitzes.

This isn't a surprise, given the number of moving parts and a new blocking scheme.

Stoutland had a limited track record turning scrubs into starters, Mailata but he's an athletic freak, otherwise Dickinson (2nd), Jurgens (2nd), Becton (1st), Lane (#4), Peters (top before coming here), Kelce (Mudd discovered and developed him).

A 5th rd OT who was passable with help. That's about it.

Stoutland's scheme required good OL that he turned into great OL.

Not a big fan of Hurts, but come on, McKee is NOT the answer.

I've only seen you and jojo call him Brady. Why do you 2 call him Brady?

Don't know about that but defenses can carry average to below average QBs

Those stats are about the average stats of the GOAT (according to many here) in the last 3 years. No one is saying they are amazing. Obviously.

If you read the blog. He's Andy Dalton Jr. The extremes are harsh in here. And the anti-bias of this guy, on an extremely short leash I might add, starts to take over irrationally. Here's the bottom line, without Hurts, this team has absolutely no shot at all. 4-13 team, IMO. Enjoy that and be the Jets.

The rest of this other needless chatter in here is the butthurt crowd about Jalen Hurts, not in fact, being a RB playing QB and wouldn't you know it? He has a shiny ring on his finger. 🤫

Somehow, it's hurting their feelings and pride and may even supercede their Eagles fandom. It's irrational amd maybe personal. Truth be told. They want to be right. But they can't be. That ship sailed long ago.

I like to bring this photo out every now and then to remind the haters, who were laughing early on in his career, while guess who stepped up to defend the guy in the early stages of this whole ongoing charade in here?

The Hurts haters are reeking of desperation. Enjoy being angry for several more years. ✌🏼

Jalen being here is out of everyone's control. No one wants Hurts to fail. This team has been trash on offense for going on season 2. Hurts may be part of the problem. Most of agree that moving on from Hurts doesn't fix the issues too.

Sirianni looks at the play design and doesn't have a question about how it is supposed to work? Kuper also doesn't understand why the play design is bad I guess.

Can you imagine how stupid the Chiefs would be if they said, hey, Mahomes stats are down these last 3 years? He's done. He's the problem. You know what they did. They got him a great RB and upgraded the OL, which still his has 2 All pros on it. And they go to town with their HOF DC and HOF offensive mind. Maybe it just isn't the QB? Correct. Howie has not been that good, especially last season. And his roster management has been horrific. And let's go compare Andy Reid to our CEO coach. This is a major deficit we have! Almost embarrassing. Like at @Diehardfan keeps saying, the QB is way down the list of problems on this team. And he is not even a Hurts guy. He can rationalize and see the whole picture.

Why do you keep posting tweets from internet randos?

That would be a big mistake.

He doesn't buy himself time with his legs anymore

Apparently he does need more talent around him though considering you all bring up how he's surrounded by backups

Whoa.

2 minutes ago, Diehardfan said:

I'm not opposed for Howie to go for it. At this point you have potential chamionship personnel on one side of the ball. And we need to add on offense. Peeps think that Howie and Lurie are gonna sit around waiting for stuff to happen. You have guys in their prime in JC and JD, Baun and their CBs. You are not gonna sit around and watch them rot while this imaginary new QB some people want in here comes along one day. Howie is going for it. That's what I want from my GM. No time for losing here. Besides his last 2 drafts haven't been great. 😁

On another note, I remember people getting hard about draft picks after the Superbowl, saying let's get proven Superbowl talent like MW go or Rodgers or whoever based on the supposition of signing later talent and getting picks. Blah blah blah. The approach was all wrong by Howie there and I stand by that. You try to run back that Superbowl team the best you can. And not turnover 20 sumptin roster spots. Peeps get too high about the future and these draft picks. I'm looking on how we can win NOW... Been a along ways down since 2024.

Whoa.

Mickey Loomis wrecked their cap long before Drew Brees retired and it hasn't been fixed since, yet he's still employed there.

If the owner expected the Saints to be good this season, that's their problem. That's a bad roster.

Lame response to all of that mentioned there. But okay. He was 21-22 at the time. You want him to play with backups to prove how good he is and to see if he can be a miracle worker? Mahomes, Stafford and everyone of these guys NEED PLAYMAKERS. You guys have lost touch and are broken. And maybe can't think straight.
