Tuesday at 09:53 PM4 days Anyway it's a little early for this, but Kempski already has his sell article, so why not. Thought up some trades that could make sense for the Eagles at the deadline if it's sell time.Moro Ojomo to the Bears for a 2nd rounder and Sam Roush - Eagles get a young TE they probably should've just drafted themselves. The Bears don't need him, they have a hundred TEs. The Bears have a good offense but their defense sucks. Could use another defensive piece. I could honestly see a playoff team offering a late 1st for Ojomo. It's not that crazy. Cowboys gave up a 1st and 2nd for Quinnen Williams. Ojomo is in his mid 20's, can be a 7+ sack a year guy.Riq Woolen to the Bills for a 3rd rounder - Bills have a chance to finally get that SB this season, but that pass defense is still a problem as we saw the last two weeks. Woolen has played well and a 3rd isn't a huge price based on his age, how he's played, and they could re-sign him.Jihaad Campbell for Mason Taylor and a 5th - Eagles have a desperate need as a future TE. They obviously like Trotter and likely won't pay both. Campbell has a lot of potential, but he was Fangio's guy. How much longer is Fangio going to be here? 1-2 seasons at most. They're clearly frustrated with Campbell's progression. Sadiq has looked like a stud when he's played, they have their future TE. Taylor now becomes a trade chip for them. Two teams swap talented guys where the other guy fills in and starts. Jets throw in a pick.

You want him to play with backups to prove how good he is and to see if he can be a miracle worker? Mahomes, Stafford and everyone of these guys NEED PLAYERS. You guys have lost touch and are broken. And maybe can't think straight. You're the ones that keep bringing up how he's playing with backups when someone says he didn't play wellYou're also the one that constantly brings up other QBs for comparisonYOU
Tuesday at 10:00 PM4 days 52 minutes ago, jojodancer said:Can you imagine how stupid the Chiefs would be if they said, hey, Mahomes stats are down these last 3 years? He's done. He's the problem. You know what they did. They got him a great RB and upgraded the OL, which still his has 2 All pros on it. And they go to town with their HOF DC and HOF offensive mind. Maybe it just isn't the QB? Correct. Howie has not been that good, especially last season. And his roster management has been horrific. And let's go compare Andy Reid to our CEO coach. This is a major deficit we have! Almost embarrassing. Like at @Diehardfan keeps saying, the QB is way down the list of problems on this team. And he is not even a Hurts guy. He can rationalize and see the whole picture.Yea it would be really stupid for the chiefs to get rid of a generational QB. Not sure what that has to do with anything being discussed in here considering we don't have one of those

If this head coach is worth anything at all, when he has a full deck we start winning again. He deserves some mercy as well. But we all know he is just not good on Game Days. That would have saved us while we are figuring things out thru the team turmoil. So margins for error keep shrinking with how we can win a game. And Howie has not replenished the talent well enough since 2024. Period. That's the reality here. OL has been in shambles, but I do hope they can get to respectability. Anyone who watched that game last night would understand how a good OL brings up everything around it. You give Allen or Stafford a trashy O Line it would all look very different. I assume many picks, especially with no running game. And a bunch of hollow yards and stats. And Ls.

I liked Thornton there. Ashame he got injured. And roll Hurts with that team any day and feel good. You guys don't see Mahomes every week. He's been just okay last year. And the 2 years before were not HOF material. They were just good to very good. Bad long ball as well in recent years. Again a great QB and better than Hurts. Hurts is a tier below. But again give me his talent, especially at OL, right now and I think you have a different story here this year. Peeps who think he's doing it with no talent are delusional. And Spags always has a great defense. I'd put him ahead of Fangio. So he has that working for him. And a genius head coach. What do we got? 🤣

People say he should change things at the line but how do you expect that when they are getting there late so often again?Last year it was bad, this year i haven’t noticed them breaking the huddle late too much. Maybe it was just so bad last year that it being slightly better, that this looks light years better. Honestly I’m pretty sure over half the plays last year Hurts was calling the plays himself because the mic cut off mid call.

"There is no shortage of OL talent . . ."Ball is a 3rd rd rookie, he may grow into the job but he wouldn't be starting on 20 teams, including this team which drafted him to sit a season.Lumpkin is a great story, but he was a UDFA, gave up two matador rushes, settled down and blocked ok, but at OG is never going to move out full sized DL.Majors was a solid college center, but also a UDFA b/c he's a limited athlete. Promoted off the PS b/c they were down to their 4th center in 3 weeks.Steen has been meh, I think he's better suited to LG with Morris (who obviously isn't ready for prime time duty as a 6th rd pick who has to work on technique at guard) at RG NEXT season. They can't get movement or seal off players in the zone runs, they pass block decently but get beat cleanly too often and struggle with communication against blitzes. This isn't a surprise, given the number of moving parts and a new blocking scheme.Stoutland had a limited track record turning scrubs into starters, Mailata but he's an athletic freak, otherwise Dickinson (2nd), Jurgens (2nd), Becton (1st), Lane (#4), Peters (top before coming here), Kelce (Mudd discovered and developed him).A 5th rd OT who was passable with help. That's about it.Stoutland's scheme required good OL that he turned into great OL.I'm firmly on my rocker. Now tell us more about H-backs in the NHL please.

We were #28 in passing based on yards/game that year so unless we can get the run game going again to near those levels, he wasn't the guy that got the best out of Hurts. Steichen was in a RPO heavy scheme which the NFL has clamped down on.
Tuesday at 10:59 PM4 days It's a losing mentality to want to keep losing and hope for picks. That Howie can flub later. Ha. You have no idea how long the losing can last. And the losing culture like Process Sixers is hard to clean up. Too many assumptions being made about draft picks. And have failed to realize how much losing may happen here. I like draft picks and having a nice stash. But I remember peeps drooling about this 1 year and a half ago with the compensatory picks we could amass etc and here we are now bereft of NFL talent, when you should have been defending a dynasty.Tearing this all down is all terrible. You pick your spots and try to keep winning. The Jurgens trade was a no brainer. Those are the kind of trades you do. Unless you are going to be a top 5 losing team (where you can get premier talent for a couple years) it ain't coming back as fast as you think. Howie had a multitude of top picks to build this thing with different deals made. Not advocating going for broke in giving away picks either. Needs to be a middle ground. Tearing it down with what is already a young team seems crazy.Defense is ready to win now. Go from there. Let's keep fantasizing about the future like post superbowl and obliviously forget about winning now as we needlessly forfeited last year, in my mind from defending a dynasty. Everyone got caught up in who do we pay in 2, 3 and 4 years from now when that calculus changes on an ongoing basis. Who we thought was going to be a long term piece a year ago or 2 ago is not even the same today. Football is brutal and not a long term career for many. Need to come up with ways to win today.
