Still pissed we didn’t draft him.

Its OK - we have TE that can't block.....and for the moment can't get on the field to help with receiving because he can't pick up the O.

How do you know what we see? He is my QB in several fantasy leagues, and all I do Sunday is watch football.

Last year he threw for 3587 yards in 14 games, Hurts has topped that once. Year before he threw for 3928 yards, more than Hurts career high. Year before that 4183 yards.

Lest year he threw 22 TD’s in 14 games, 1 less than Hurts career high of 25. 26 and 27 the two years before that.

Yes, Mahomes numbers the last 3 years have not been HOF level for him, but Hurts barely sniffs those numbers and you are talking HOF about him.

I am not saying Hurts is good as Mahomes. What I have said he is in that 2nd tier. And that Mahomes HOF career has taken a little break and that he has had a lot of help with great coaching & great defenses. And very good OLs and a legendary TE. First half of his career he had Tyreek, except for 1 year, to get all those gaudy stats. They have come down considerably in last 3 years. And he is the crown jewel of the league and they prop him up at all costs like they did Jordan in the NBA. In that he gets every call. Seen it for years. I think he's just a little too high on that pedestal right at this moment. Let's see if he can repeat his greatness with a pretty new team from the past superbowl versions.

I’m calling him "Brady” in reference to him being hyped up last year as this special Qb during and after preseason. If I remember correctly, HE was the main supporter of McKee.

And his average years he puts up numbers on par with and more than Hurts career high.

If winning is all that matters, why does that not apply to Sirianni?

Because he gets outcoached just about every week and can't even manage a game when that's his main job as CEO coach.

I have made this point - the best argument you have going for Siri and Hurts is exactly the same

I know. And let's not forget who outplayed who in the Superbowls. Mahomes also has 2 Superbowls where he bombed. Just saying...

Tbh i’m not even sure if Stowers is a fit for this offense. If they wanna run what the Packers did in Green Bay. He can’t block and you’re gonna have to essentially teach him how to block and he’ll have to make significant strides. (Add on teach him how to play the position and route running too. It’s kind of a project which is why we really shouldn’t have taken him in that round). Zach Ertz was a better receiving threat coming out of Stanford than Stowers and also a bad blocker. And he never got to being a good blocker. He got to maybe average. Hopefully Stowers makes a leap in year two. But i feel like there’s a chance that Stowers goes the route of JJAW where after year 3 he’s just gone.

We aren't seriously having a Mahomes vs Hurts discussion.

He has reached the SB 5 of 7. Jalen has bombed 3 of his 5 playoffs in the very first game.

Hurts is certainly capable of having great games and stepping up in big moments but he really does not consistently play well.

He has been on teams that have consistently won even when it does not look pretty....and that brings me to, so has Siri.

Which is discriminatory at this point because Hurts nor any of the OL have picked up the offense either. Seems only the WRs have.

I was literally screaming anyone but Stowers at the TV when the Eagles went on with EMW or Jaccas were my guys there.

Now that Stowers is an Eagle, I hope to hell he proves me wrong. Lots of others have.

No. Need to read what I have stated and catch up. Mahomes is still on the top of that mountain here. But is slipping a little bit. I'd like to see what he does in this version of the Chiefs. I think he has a much better roster than Eagles currently, so expect more here.

I loved Jaccas. Tbh i really thought it would be him over EMW. I knew they needed a TE but i liked klare more who went a few picks late. Frankly they waited too many years to try and get their future TE. We knew going into 2024 goedert’s contract situation, age and injury history. They should’ve really taken one prior to 2026 and developed him

It is when they win

It's always Hurts when we win

But it's the team when we lose

Funny thing is I've heard the same exact opposite. Especially in the Superbowls. Team carried him. And the playoff losses were all on Hurts. Like he was on some juggernaut those years and blew it. Last year's playoffs, AJ chucked the game and cost them. But they werent going anywhere. Last year's team was dysfunctional and defective. From top to bottom. Starting with Howie and going down to the ball boy.

Funnily enough, I think Hurts performance in the first SB was way better than his performance in the second.

But that'sa not the one we won

Fans and the media have a myopic view of the game because they only watch the ball and the QB has the ball every offensive play. Fact of the matter, is that the QB can't do his job without everybody else doing their job and vice versa. The ridiculous amount of focus and discussion about a Superbowl winning MVP is tiresome.

Yeah, we know he isn't perfect but we also know he can win a Superbowl and be MVP b3cause he is done it. He isnt being benched and he isnt being traded in season so figure out how we create the surrounding circumstances (players, scheme) that allow him to do his job. Because I guarantee fng ty with this makeshift OL that McKee isnt riding in to save the day. Give it a rest already.

I enjoy talking about the Eagles, but years of the same, dull, nothing new conversation about Hurts is driving me bonkers. Page after page, day after day, year after year. I'll sum up Hurts for all of us so we can end this useless, go nowhere "debate".

Hurts is a mediocre QB. Sometimes good, sometimes bad, but never either all the time. What more needs to be said? Nothing at all.

Digging in a little bit further into the OL play and trying to get a concensus. Lampkin had a rough first 2 series and settled in after that very well. Not getting beat and stalemating. But not necessarily moving people. Bell has some positives, but needs to get in the weightroom. He's being played a little sooner than they hoped. My feeling, I think we are gonna struggle in the run game, til we get a mover at guard. Lampkin is a great reserve til that happens and will hold the fort and not embarrass you and is certainly an upgrade to Jurgens.

If Howie's going for it, think he grabs a lineman. And maybe it is even Nelson. And LD is done is the implication there. It is good to know we have good interior depth going forward, but we need a starter long term. And most likely a proven vet if you're serious about this year.

I mentioned earlier in the year that Justin Reid should be on the radar and would be if the Saints kept losing. Safety is effed right now. Although seeing Saints fans not thrilled with him. Put him on the Eagles and he's an upgrade and playing in a good secondary. He may come cheaper than expected.

Going forward I expect a safety and a guard in upcoming deals if we are in contention and in an uptrend. Wouldn't be surprised if Howie already has things lined up based on the next couple of weeks outcomes.

To his defense...most of the O can't pick up the O
