God i would be happily stunned if they got a 2nd for Ojomo. I don't think anyone will give it up for a rental but I would do it in a second

Would do all of these tbh but idk if the other teams would

Think it would depend on if they were confident they could re-sign him or tag him. But just in terms of the player himself, I think he has a lot of value. DTs have incredibly high trade value. We see what Lawrence, Leonard, Williams, etc all got traded for. Ojomo is so young and has great upside, I think he'd fetch a ton of the trading team wanted to keep him.

Lame response to all of that mentioned there. But okay. He was 21-22 at the time. You want him to play with backups to prove how good he is and to see if he can be a miracle worker? Mahomes, Stafford and everyone of these guys NEED PLAYMAKERS. You guys have lost touch and are broken. And maybe can't think straight.

What QB could produce with the team that was on the field on Sunday?

Pierce was a PS RB.

Goedert is now "Chad Lewis", he can run short routes and get open in zone, but he's not going to beat man coverage on a regular basis.

Mundt is an undersized blocking TE. Ertz is a shadow of himself.

Wicks, Cooper, Lemon are a great 2-4 group playing 1-3.

The OL is All pro - UDFA in first game - UDFA in first game - decent RG - 3rd rd rookie in 3rd game

I'm happy Hurts survived with that OL.

NO

I would do the Nelson trade for a 4th but you are never getting him for a 4th. This is what the Phillies do which has led to utter failure year after year. This is his last year under contract. He is also 30 but that doesn't worry me much for an OG. A rental which is what the Phillies unfortunately specialize in. I would only trade for him if he would sign an extension before the trade.

It's a losing mentality to want to keep losing and hope for picks. That Howie can flub later. Ha. You have no idea how long the losing can last. And the losing culture like Process Sixers is hard to clean up. Too many assumptions being made about draft picks. And have failed to realize how much losing may happen here. I like draft picks and having a nice stash. But I remember peeps drooling about this 1 year and a half ago with the compensatory picks we could amass etc and here we are now bereft of NFL talent, when you should have been defending a dynasty.

Tearing this all down is all terrible. You pick your spots and try to keep winning. The Jurgens trade was a no brainer. Those are the kind of trades you do. Unless you are going to be a top 5 losing team (where you can get premier talent for a couple years) it ain't coming back as fast as you think. Howie had a multitude of top picks to build this thing with different deals made. Not advocating going for broke in giving away picks either. Needs to be a middle ground. Tearing it down with what is already a young team seems crazy.

Defense is ready to win now. Go from there. Let's keep fantasizing about the future like post superbowl and obliviously forget about winning now as we needlessly forfeited last year, in my mind from defending a dynasty. Everyone got caught up in who do we pay in 2, 3 and 4 years from now when that calculus changes on an ongoing basis. Who we thought was going to be a long term piece a year ago or 2 ago is not even the same today. Football is brutal and not a long term career for many. Need to come up with ways to win today.

The defense has a 3-4 year window. The offense is probably the single worst unit in the league.

We can blow up the offense and rebuild it in 1-2 years, especially if you give Howie top 10 draft capital this season and two firsts and two seconds after next season, which we already have.

Can we get a first or second rounder for Hurts as well? Because I’m betting if Howie has 5 picks in the first two rounds over the next two offseasons we can go win another ring.

I have zero confidence that the offense can as currently constructed.

Mahomes would have won that game against Jags. 69-0.

That means being 3-6. I don't think he's doing much stripping at 4-5. So yeah, if we lose 3 out of next 4 against mediocre teams. Yeah, we are scrapping this season and hope to pull a Chiefs next season by strategic upgrades here and there. Agree with that.

If Jalen Hurts throws 12 int, loses all the games, and is suspected of murdering 7 prostitutes before the bye, would you still extend him in the offseason?

Yes. Are you happy now?

Afan, you’re not wrong. You’re actually right. But it’s still such convenient logic.

I promised everyone in the offseason the Jalen Hurts narrative would switch to the rhetoric that no qb would look good with this offensive personnel.

But we have a qb whose both passing and running productivity have been in decline for 3 straight years BEFORE 2026. He was supposed to prove that he can evolve and grow within the offense in order to stick.

And now the personnel around him sucks.

So he just gets an indefinite stay of execution? Wentz had absolute garbage around him in 2019 and 2020. But we could still see the flaws in his game and that he wasn’t good enough. It didn’t save him from judgement and it doesn’t need to save Hurts.

And if he only murdered seven prostitutes, you would call him soft on crime

He's 28. Not 38. Team is 4-13 without him and has no shot. That's a sign we have an impactful QB in my mind. If you build the right roster around him we know he can take us there. It's proven. He's got the clutch gene as the owner proudly and emphatically stated. I will trust him more than you. He showed it last week with a really inferior group of talent. He won the 1st two games of the year as well with clutchness.

We had a brain fart from our boneheaded coach last week in what robbed Hurts from the narrative of another 4th QB comeback. It's ashame after all that, peeps rip into him. Pretty sad group here. This team has dreck right now on offense. It's **** on a stick the last few weeks personnel-wise. Wait til the group comes back and we will evaluate in a few weeks. You are so anxious to be right that you can't even be rational. Team in 2023 was still a playoff team that started 10-1 and then had serious locker room issues. 2024 team won a Superbowl and you will still complain about that. And we have the demise of the OL starting last year.

I need to see a full set of NFL players around him and then we can decide fairly. Because he gets that benefit of the doubt of winning a championship and almost 2. Wentz played horrible and beat himself playing his hero ball brand. Hurts at least keeps you in the game and has poise under pressure. And is clutch. And a good leader. Stats are not everything. And simply has just done it before. Which is a valuable trait and can't be dismissed.

People come in here thinking good QBs grow on trees. When most bust. And we have maybe 15-18 good QBs in the league right now. And some may even debate that. There's really zero perspective on your behalf regarding anything here. Including this season. With a bum line, bum coach and a boatload of injuries on a roster that lacks some depth since 2024. You are oblivious and have tunnell vision and will not be denied with your agenda and in wanting to be a diva.

I think there is a theme here but I am not quite sure I can quite pinpoint it

Okay. Let me go with these crazy hypotheticals in here. If Hurts starts getting 24 points or more (with reinforcements coming) in the following games are we gonna say there's improvement here or say oh it's just the Panthers, Cowboys, Commanders and Giants. Or come up with the defense carried him? And if we lose 28-27 or 31-24 in a couple of them, what will we be saying there as well? The offense should have scored more? The haters I'm sure have a plan here. I'm just getting prepared here. EOD, looking for W's in whatever fashion. To scratch and claw back to a good season record and be relevant. Hopefully making incremental progress throughout. Also, maybe special teams can contribute to a victory or good coaching. Many ways to win here.

Looks like the other teams defense made more plays than ours. This is the defenses fault.

You still haven't been capable of entertaining a hypothetical of whether or not to extend Hurts in the offseason if he and the offense do not turn it around. It's not a "crazy hypothetical."

But, since I am intellectually capable of entertaining your side of the equation....I assume you are defining the "following games" as the 4 you listed.
The 2026 Eagles are averaging 18.4 points per game...29th in the NFL.

24 points per game would be the 13th ranked offense in the NFL right now. It's also a nearly 2 point per game improvement over last year.

So, yes...if Hurts averages 24 points or more over the next 4 weeks, I would say that's improvement. Because it objectively would be improvement.

IRT the OL…it’s the scheme or lack thereof. Talent isn’t the best, but considering the staff is allergic to using extra blockers, loves condensed sets and hired that’s doofus to replace stout after pissing him off and pushing him out the door is the main issue. Sure there’s lowlights and some bad play…but most of the breakdowns are because they are running a scheme that makes zero sense. It’s the mechanics, not the equipment overall.
