I'm not a Sirianni hater like some. Just tired of his schtick and incompetence. If he's not serving the CEO role he now has effectively, it's adios amigos.I think the vibes were much worse under Chip, as I don't doubt the players actually like Nick, and he lasted through 15 games... and who would even take over? Vic signed up to run the defense, not to captain a sinking ship. I imagine they'd pull the rug out from under Mannion first.

If he can do that I'm fine with him staying....they may also need a situational assistant (Dom with an electric-shock glove)Was it though? Siri handed playcalling over to Shane, which could be seen as a collaboration. Kellen's offense got basically scuttled, and it might have been Nick that made the push to dumb it down and run the ball not the other way around. If the Mannion stuff gets shelved and they revert back to more Jalen-centric playcalling and it works... wouldn't Nick get some credit for that?
Thursday at 01:38 PM2 days third paragraph on lemon should’ve been a teaching moment where he says did a great job on the route and getting open. But we need to stay in bounds so that we can run the clock down and kick a game winning FG instead of giving the jags life and not having them burn their last timeout. Fourth paragraph is interesting particularly the last two sentences of it

Murray went to lurie on the plane and had a discussion with him about it and telling him to fire chip. I’d add he got fired for more than just on field. I believe he no showed for holiday party that also pissed off lurie. I’d say they fire Mannion but i don’t think they would in season. They kind of did that with Desai and it didn’t work out. I’d add not sure you fire Mannion it’s any better with Grizzard who got fired by Tampa last year and is your current pass game coordinator. If they had a senior assistant i think they may have handed over play calling to him while Mannion is still OC. But they don’t

I’ve been posting for 20 years that I want explosive athletes at WR, DT, and edge with instinctive players at off ball LB and safety. CB, TE, OL, RB are multifactorial.I think athletic traits that are important vary by position. Devonta Smith and AJ Brown probably wouldn't be able to out run John Ross. Devonta has elite separation ability. He has flexible hips which allow him to make breaks that create separation in routes. He also has elite body control and hands. AJ Brown had similar flexibility and body control. He also has size and physicality which allows him to fend off defenders. Ross looks like an athletic freak but he didn't test the 3 cone. Like Reagor who had above average speed and explosive testing numbers, those traits don't make for an effective WR in the NFL. They both lacked the ability to create separation running routes. Getting open in the NFL isn't about being faster than the DB on a straight line. It is about creating separation with small sudden movements. I think Edge players and WRs should have similar traits. I would rather have an Edge that has bend than just speed. I think the best measure is the 3 cone speed for edge. I agree with you on LB. OL is about athletic traits but probably the ability to anchor isn't a trait that shows up except on film. Dillard looked like a good prospect from a traits perspective. He could not anchor in pass protection. What you can't account for is the mental fortitude to play the position. Dillard did not have that either. 5 minutes ago, Waiting4Someday said:Was it though? After the 2-2 start, Lane and the o-line went to Sirianni and said run the ball. They ran the ball very well. They didn't have to pass to win games. They were able to when they needed it. The defense largely won the Super Bowl but the Eagles' offense had to pass the ball to win. They scored and moved the ball with ease.

In 2022 and 2024 they were able to fall back on the running game, this doesn't seem to be in the cards for 2026.

You could read it as him being annoyed with the question and deflecting, or you could read it like he is in the dark and frustrated with the coaches. And I gotta say, if it's the latter, that would be very hard to digest for me. The Eagles have been very kind to Landon, and it would make me wonder if he's completely delusional about his level of play over the last 1.5 seasons.Maybe that explains why they've been playing like garbage, theyre not hungry anymore. My self-admitted TATEr take is how off-putting it was when he brought beer out after one of the joint practice sessions, when he was injured and not even participating. Just dumb and unseriousI read it first and heard the audio this morning. Both paint very different pictures. To me, reading it came off as pretty passive aggressive. Hearing it was more in a joking tone.

You're saying the proof that Sirianni does nothing is that collaborations don't always work?Did nobody learn anything from Doug + Reich, and "Reich was the architect behind everything"? Doesn't make sense the offense when Nick took over or "tried to help" looked like epic dog crap? He tried to take over the run game and forced Jeff out. Nick sucks offensively and makes things worse when he gets involved. When he is forced out like with KM things look better for a reason.

Another example is the run game last year when he tried to help by kicking Jeff out of the job and ultimately causing him to walk as the OL coach.
