HOLY Fing ISH!!!!!

Prayers up for Hurts good health.

(This sounds like a hematoma from bleeding during his initial calf strain not like a random DVT or anything concerning).

Completely in a vacuum of course in a world where this didnt require injury my prayers are being answered. One week. One week. McKee please have your mechanics all back in order. This is your chance. Siri's chance, to show the world what this offense is capable of being. Dont let me down!

How long are people usually out with this

I don't think it's going to work in one week if they're just figuring it out now and scrambling. I think if it does work out, it says a lot, but if it doesn't not really. Dude at least should be considered with a full week of practice.

Medical nerds…what’s the difference between a superficial and non superficial bloodclot? I know in my previous life we used the word superficial before saying injury when we didn’t want the person on the other side of the radio to bust out a 9 line card and starting to panic. A bloodclot is a bloodclot to me, though obviously i know there’s a difference between a small vein in the leg and a major bloodline….or the lungs being next to the heart.

I can only imagine that flying to and from England has a huge effect on a bloodclot moving as well.

So they knew he had a clot before the game and let him play but now it's a problem because it moved? What....

I feel like it's rare enough it's going to be tough to find good answers...

I’ll take my chances with Tanner Brady over the Red Head 56 year old QB.

Sunday from 1 pm to about 4 pm…….could be fun!!

Found this:

Seems like a provoked DVT from flying/immobilization. He’ll likely need 3-6 months of anticoagulation, possibly surgery, who knows.

Shame. His season is likely over.

Because it is even if you want revisionist history yourself. I'm still waiting.

We have both provided the evidence that you are wrong. All you have provided is evidence backing us up, with the disclaimer of I don't care what the article said.

I mean we are going to get some answers.....we'll see if we like them or not.

You haven't proven crap. The world knows KM took over and the offense looked better when Nick stayed out of it. Aren't you a Packer fan? We also know Nick will never get another job after this for a reason. So you two can keep saying it doesn't change anything or the rest of what I said that you both ignored because you have nothing.

Season going from bad to worse

We are lucky we are in a terrible division that your whole team of backups can still be in it likely til December. Our defense is getting better every week and should keep us in all 4 of these next games. My expectation level is 2-2 right now. Worse than that, blow this bish up for the season. Just wasn't meant to be.

Key Differences

  • Location:

    • Superficial: Sits in surface veins just beneath the skin (such as the saphenous veins in the legs or veins bruised by an IV line in the arms).

    • Non-superficial (DVT): Sits in deep-set major veins surrounded by muscle tissue. [1, 2, 3, 4]

  • Symptoms:

    • Superficial: Causes localized redness, warmth, tenderness, swelling, and a hard, cord-like feel along the surface vein.

    • Non-superficial (DVT): Causes deep throbbing pain, significant swelling of the entire limb (like a whole leg or arm), warmth, and skin discoloration or distended surface veins. [1, 2, 3]

  • Risk of Breaking Loose (Embolism):

    • Superficial: Rarely breaks loose because it triggers an acute inflammation that makes the clot stick firmly to the vein wall, and surface veins lack the surrounding muscle contractions to squeeze a clot away.

    • Non-superficial (DVT): High risk of breaking loose and traveling to the lungs, causing a dangerous or fatal pulmonary embolism. [1, 2]

Oh man, I hope and pray Hurts is ok. On a human level, you never want to see anyone injured and hopefully the blood clot is treatable and he'll be fine. They can be dangerous.

I thought it was strange the Eagles posted such a long story on social media about this, laying out that they took steps last week. Some CYA maybe.

No weiner jokes??

I had a blood clot in my weiner once. Kept me outta action from the bedroom for 3 whole weeks!!!!!! My Girlfriend was mad, my Wife really didn’t care. ☹️🤣😝

Get well, Jalen. See ya back in action…..whenever.

2026 season —- wow.

Holy F.....if any of this was a possibility how the hell did they let him play knowing it was there?

Was actually on the phone with my doctor when the news hit - his initial reaction was he's going to be on blood thinners for probably ~3 months. Season likely over. FWIW.

False. The world knows Kellen Moore is a pass happy play caller, as evidenced by Hurts passing 30 or more times in the first 4 weeks of the season. Then Mailaita, Johnson and Dickerson met with Sirianni, demanded a run heavy approach, and Hurts averaged 22.5 passing attempts per game the rest of the way.

They shouldn’t have, that’s why Lurie put out that long statement. This could be NFLPA grevience territory.

I figured there would be a fancier term for non superficial…well that’s good at least, this isn’t like having a clot in a lung or near a major vein. Which also explains why they let him play and kept the league informed of what was going on and had him on the injury report.

If your first reaction to a potentially life threatening serious medical condition is to celebrate that you get to see the backup, seek help.

If it was Dalton, we lose 69-0.

How inept are the training staff and doctors.....ride a bike you'll be fine

First off I hope Jalen the person is ok. that's the most important concern. As far as the football team is concerned I really feel like this is the beginning of the end. It's been a great run, probably the best since I've been a fan. I'd do it all over in a heartbeat. So get will soon Jalen.
