Remember last year when Hurts ran the no huddle and the offense looked so much better? Nick is the problem.

Doesn't going no huddle usually look better simply because the defense can't sub anymore?

Bring back Jeff Stoutland as a consultant for the run game.

That’s bridge is burned with how he got demoted.

Kempski has an interesting article about what the Eagles could get as sellers. I think he overrates what they can get for some players, but here it is.

But I'm not interested in being sellers quite yet.

I consider a few guys who dont play well enough to get extensions like Nolan Smith, Campbell, possibly McKee....

But guys like Ojomo and Woolen are integral to success this season if we are to turn it around.

Yeah, but is the only reason to you? But think bigger, Mike. Look at the plays that Hurts called vs what the offense looked like all game last year. Things opened up and he took shots vs ultra conservative boring crap.

When Nick handed things over things went well. When he gets involved it sucks. What more can I explain? Another example is the run game last year when he tried to help by kicking Jeff out of the job and ultimately causing him to walk as the OL coach.

I feel like you can only come to these kind of conclusions if you think of things in an extremely binary way. Like:

"When Sirianni stopped playcalling early on in his tenure, he put the entire offense on Steichen and picked up pom poms, that's why it looked good."
"When Sirianni tried to help out a struggling Patullo, he took charge of every part of the offense and threw Stout over the Delaware River, that's why it looked bad."

You do realize that there's varying levels of involvement, right?

I read it first and heard the audio this morning. Both paint very different pictures.

To me, reading it came off as pretty passive aggressive. Hearing it was more in a joking tone.

Not only that, but fans need to listen to the entire clips of these sound bytes. What question was asked? In this case he was asked the question twice. First about his thoughts on being there long-term, and then a follow up about how do you think THEY view it. Media do this a lot where they ask someone what someone else thinks. Nothing wrong with a player saying to ask that person what they think, not me. I recall they did this to Smitty all the time about AJ Brown, and he would say you have to ask him. Don't take the bait in speaking for someone else.

Because that's exactly what we have seen. We know about the conversation with Gannon and how Shane excelled. We know after the BYE 2 years ago Nick was forced to stay out of things with KM. More than anything we have the evidence with Jeff last year. He gets his hands in things and made the situation worse and cost them the best OL coach in NFL history. Time and time again when he is kept out of things it looks better. Want more proof? Would you bet your family's life on the fact he will ever get a HC or OC job again after he is fired? There is a reason he probably won't. He sucks.

Nick fired yet?

Yes, it's hard for teams to have 3rd stringers that can play well.

Can do better than Johnathan Jones as your top CB off the bench. That's a key role that is coming into play the last 2 games with Q injury in Rams game & Carter injury in Jags game. He played outside CB in Rams game and slot CB in Jags game. Was noticeably bad in both games. His best tackle was in special teams on the last kickoff, where if he doesn't tackle the return man so fast we are better off, as Ringo was ready to do it a second later and we win. Even when he does something right he sucks. Do you remember Isaiah Rodgers? Adoree was better too. Doesn't have to suck.

So if Nick was forced to 'stay out of things with KM' after the bye, wouldn't this plea here have fallen on deaf ears? Can you provide the source backing up how Nick was neutered/exiled in 2024 after the bye? Because this certainly isn't saying that? I'll address how I feel about the Jeff situation later.

Proving a point. Nick isn't getting another OC or HC job for a reason. People will say that's speculation. Well, if your family depended on it would you take the bet he would? People know the answer would be no.

Skipping the but you don't have proof BS back and forth. Yes or no would you bet your family on it? Nope.

Why do peeps want to keep mentioning Stout? Do you think he will turn backups into hall of famers? What did he do last year with mostly starters? Running game stunk then too. The talent on the OL is just not that good right now. Clearly. Bring in a guy like Nelson and the talent has been upgraded. The coaching will look great! BTW, only advising that if they don't collapse here. For a brand newly formed line, from a fundamental standpoint, OL was good last week as I expected a ton more penalties, bad snaps and chaos. When like Jurgens tackled hurts and injured Kendall.

On another note, Howie is not trashing this season til the signs are clear. Jurgens move was a no brainer to getting better today as well as later. He now has the leeway to flip that pick to actually better the squad if it seems like they are turning it around. He's a fixer and he wants to do this quick without sacrificing a season.

Honestly, I don't know what the F you are trying to prove with an article saying they went to him saying let us do our damn job. CEO coach.

That's some serious revisionist history.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/42346987/philadelphia-eagles-offensive-line-meeting-turned-season-saquon-barkley-week-11

Mailata, Dickerson and Johnson all went to Sirianni during the bye to pitch a more run heavy approach. Something Moore generally didn't do. They also had much more motion the first 4 weeks and less after the bye, motion being something Moore generally did do.

They brought in Moore to improve the passing game. They ditched it after the bye to win by running. By pitching to Sirianni to run more. That's not Nick being forced to stay out things.

This is basic debate. You made a claim that he was forced to stay out of things at the bye. I'm showing an article where they asked him to change the offense at the bye (away from Kellen's new passing schemes), and then the result of the offense followed this change.

If Nick was forced to stay out of things at the bye, then this plea wouldn't have changed the offense at all, since Nick would have been neutered and have no power. Thus, this puts your claim in doubt.

I don't see what's complicated here. Do you have a source that backs your claim?

I don’t know what the F you are trying to prove either. The world isn’t black and white, there’s nuances to everything. If you understood that you might not be having these convos and asking people if they’d bet their families lives 🤣

If the NFL had a total re-draft and you had a top pick, would you bet your families lives on picking Jalen Hurts over Josh Allen?
