EMB Blog: 2026 Regular Season (Part 1)

Featured Replies

I pretty much disappeared for the offseason. I’ve been dealing with some mental health stuff and just wasn’t really in the mood to post much.

But I’m back. I’m going to try to stick around all season, for better or worse.

Looking forward to talking Eagles football with you guys again.

Go Birds. 🦅

P.S.

@e-a-g-l-e-s eagles!

GIF choice for the opener?

@mattwill

Season prediction: 12-5

Sunday’s prediction: 24-17

Hmmm. We should do terminator since AI could kill us this decade.

KR should be Shipley and bigsby? Has covey ever returned KO’s? I genuinely can’t remember.

Hmmmm….yeah Ship is a solid KR. Tank, no thanks. Stay as RB2, nothing else.

Covey should be the PR. No one else need apply. I guess it’s a game day roster decision.

Anything related to 5 in honor of Jayden Daniels 🤣

That’s a good one too

Oh hell yeah. Had no idea this was a thing. He's up there with Westbrook as the absolute most fun and clutch skill players that they drafted and played here. Wish DeSean played here for more of his long prime though.

It's a shame my 2026 Philadelphia Eagles Hype Video will forever need to be unreleased to the public. Too extreme for what people can accept right now on here. Too extreme for the world.

The entire franchise?

I've found the behind the scenes footage of its creation and the roadblocks you're running into. Stay strong brother. Screenshot_20260911-221228.png

My intention is to little by little, animate members that want to be part of the "700 level". How this goes, depends on how well the software does what I tell it to do. I can't spend 80 hours on a 30 second cartoon lol.

Predictions? I always predict undefeated, with the right to adjust as the season goes by. So far, by the end of each season, my predictions have been 100% correct...

I’ve added you as the fourth 17-0 prediction.

17-0 has four

16-1 has one

15-2 has two

14-2-1 has one

14-3 has nine

13-3-1 has one

13-4 has twenty-four

12-5 has thirty-seven

11-6 has thirty-one

10-6-1 has one

10-7 has sixteen

9-8 has eight

135 predictions in total

Sad part is AI will kill us but not nearly as cool as Terminator

I'm not smart. At all.

BUT, what am I missing? Make Covey the KR or/and PR and be done with it, yes? Is there much more to it?

There has to be more to it, so, someone who is (Vikas?) NFL game day roster savy, please explain it to us simpleton's!!!

unsure

They likely will elevate Covey from the PS to return punts. On the depth chart (put together by PR people), they only include players on the 53. Might simply be they had to put someone on the 53 down as the punt returner.

Hazleton is on the come up. Everyone was expecting a wawa and they got a shiny brand new storage facility instead.

Was up that way last May and will be up this May for Smoke-Onos, it's a Cigar fest at the Best Cigar grounds in Drums but we stayed at the Fairfield Inn in Hazelton.

Good time if you like cigars and favorite adult beverage.

I'm veey close to there but still have never been. I'm not in to the cigars or beverages but I hear their food is very good.

@mattwill Good to see VaBeach follows my predictions analysis.

Wicks >>>>>>>>AJ in run blocking and it will show up Sunday. I expect the Eagles will run all over the commies. One thing I have noticed this year is a complete change of the philosophy on WR breaks. We discard Dotson, whose idea of a break was to use is middling fast speed to outrun DBs. Brown left and he was not a quick move separator. Just took both too long in a pass play to get open. Those quick feet will show up Sunday as the Eagles make the commies DBs look silly. Hurts will look better by far than Stafford or Maye did in Week 1. And, of course, Fangio’s D will show up big.

Eagles 41, commies 6

Bonus: Davis and Carter make a Daniels sandwich for a sack

Bonus Bonus: Arnold E (I will figure out how to spell his name as the season goes on) gets a sack.

Bonus Bonus Bonus: Shout out to Clay, who drops Lemon back on a 60+ yard field goal attempt by the commies and is paid with a great return of the short kick.

Bonus, Bonus, Bonus, Bonus: Struggling to honor #5, the Eagles sack Daniels five times, the commie kicker goes for 2 out of 5 kicks, and the Birds score 5 TDs.

Lucky it’s but a bunch of tech bros trying to sell stock.

Any physicist worth their salt says we are still decades away from AGI

From Kubena at The Athletic

Josh Grizzard, Philly’s first-year pass game coordinator, was more effusive in his confidence in Lemon. Grizzard leads many of the wide receiver group’s meetings and sits next to Lemon. Moorehead also sits beside Lemon. Grizzard said Lemon has "done an unbelievable job” of being engaged in meetings and asking strong questions. Grizzard stands near the huddles in practices and watched Lemon learn his alignments and adjustments while sidelined.

"He’s been dialed in,” Grizzard said. "He’s in a good spot, and I know he’s ready to go out there and rock and roll.”

The Eagles are shifting toward more pure progression reads in the passing game, which emphasizes the importance of timing between Hurts and his receivers. Moorehead acknowledged that timing was Lemon’s biggest challenge returning from injury. Moorehead said Lemon has "done a good job” in his return, but said, "like any rookie, (he) is gonna have things that (he’s) gonna do really well, and things that he’s gonna have to improve on.”

Out of this group I'm watching Hubbard, but I'm also keeping an eye on Alabama LB / Edge Yhonzae Pierre. He's the same size as Hunt and he could be a replacement edge if Smith isn't resigned.

Goosby is going top 10. Book it.
