I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

Man, your Houston bias just knows no bounds.

Wentz already gave an interview on the Pat McAfee Show where he discusses his choice of jersey number.  He called Michael Pittman and asked if he was attached to wearing #11; Pittman says something to the effect of ‘Yeah, I’d like to keep it’.  Wentz says ‘No problem; I’d kind of like to switch it up anyway’.  Wentz then tells McAfee he wore #2 all through school up to arriving at NDSU, but it wasn’t available there.

Gotta tell you, man — Wentz leaving has little to nothing to do with Jalen Hurts.  Hurts was over drafted at #53 and would have been no threat at all to Wentz in an open QB competition.  He wanted out because he was left out to dry by the organization’s poor drafting and poor spending at WR.

 The reactions to my over the top, tongue in cheek retort to the reactions of Hurts changing his number are hilarious. I couldn’t give a flying F what excuse Carson gave for choosing #2.  Nor could I care why Hurts chose to change his number.

Yeah, on the ridiculous reactions to Hurts changing his number, I will admit it probably was a bit of a troll.

Who cares Wentz was is mentally weak didn’t even fight to stay, it’s done.

It was kind of chickenshit that Wentz chose Hurts’ number in Indy.  I think #1 became available with Johnston leaving and Hurts grabbed it.  There may have been a bit a suck it to Carson in there as well.

You think Wentz took "Hurts' number" in Indy?  It couldn't be that Carson had to choose a second number in Indy because 11 was already taken and that the two 1's added together add to '2'.   The number 2 was also "Doug Flutie's number", and any number of other players as well.

And Hurts didn't take #1 because of anything other than #1 was his number at OU, and now that its available (Cameron Johnston had it last year) he switched over to that number.    (Incidentally, #1 wasn't available at Alabama when Hurts came, it belonged to a WR Redshirt Junior.   But he kept it at Alabama when #1 finally became available.  Then, when he went to OU, #2 wasn't available.  So, he switched to #1.)

Why must everything have some nefarious double meaning or ulterior motive?   Wentz couldn't be #11 in Indy, so he had to change.   Hurts couldn't be #1 here last year, but he can now.   Unless you have a quote from someone about why the number was changed, I'd appreciate if you try to take the high road a bit more in this situation and not stir up silliness without anything to back it up.

You are better than that.  Why stoke the flames of stupid around here?

Sorry but the stupidness of the number changes just made me do it.   I did not expect the reactions because I really thought most people didn’t give a flying F.

I like Realmuto's catcher's mitt

Gonzaga and UCLA is a great game.

When Wentz played in Bismarck, he wore #20 at QB.  At ND State, it wasn't available-and so he took 11.  Pittman wanted to keep that number, and I don't think you can wear 20 as a QB in the league, so he cut the 0 out and went with the 2.  Pretty sure I read this somewhere.....

Come on UCLA!!!  Better pick it up.

Why?  I think it's a great championship game.  Whoever wins is fun.

I have Gonzaga in my bracket to win it but  I truly have no skin in the game. Happy the usuals aren't in it.  Would be fun to see an undefeated season, but Baylor as Champs would be great too.  I feel like all of America wins on Monday.
