Paye and Stokes looks like a horrible start.  And the fact that theyve given extra picks to do it

I could see it happening. <_<

I think Paye wouldn't be a terrible pick. I mean the PFF 3 cone was timed at like 6.5 or something.  I would feel pretty ambivalent about it.

I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I mean yeah the team was 4-11-1 and traded away their franchise QB taking on a $34 million dead cap hit.  Everything is great.

Hey, given the reaction to Farley’s back injury, we just don’t like back injuries.  Carson has a history of two stress fractures in his back and a knee like Farley so he had to go.

Numbers wise  , rd 1 produces more consistent starters at  OL , LB and TE

believe it or not rd 3 is  a sweet spot for DL

Another factor is the eagles need to give goedert a new deal, mailata needs a new deal and sanders will be eligible at the end of the year for a new deal. Also sweat or Barnett are also likely getting a new deal.

I'm going to revisit my trade Dallas Goedert idea.

Would you rather trade Ertz for a 5th/6th and then pay Goedert when he's due a massive contract extension after this year.

-or-

Extend Ertz for 2 years (if he wants to be here)  and trade DG for a 2nd and 4th/5th?

Goedert has yet to break out IMO.  He's a nice TE but overrated by Philly locals/fans.  He's been outplayed by guys in his own draft class (notably Mark Andrews who I mentioned earlier).  Is he worth the massive contract he's going to command?

I know we are lacking great players and trading DG would be getting rid of one of our lone young talented players, but even without Kyle Pitts, this is a VERY GOOD TE draft.  I would much rather trade DG while he's on his rookie deal and his value is highest and take a TE this year. Then in 2023 Darnell Washington please.

Just throwing any ideas and exploring all options.  Considering contracts, trade value and value to the Eagles.

Interesting Day 4 picks.

Did something change ??  When is day 4 of the draft ??

I like Kwity Paye. He's athletic, tough and plays a premium position. Drafting him at 12 is not crazy...but this team has so many holes and we have 2 potential starters at EDGE should we resign them (Barnett, Sweat). Trading down for Paye to 15 or 19 (New England, Chicago) makes significantly more sense. He's also not the type of prospect that you're kicking yourself if you trade down and don't get him. He could easily be there at 19.

No we are not due for a new look.  That ish for garbage franchises like Cincy, Miami, Jax, LAC and LAR, who seem to tweak their unis every other year.

We need to tweak our owner and front office before worrying about what the uniforms look like.  Not to mention, any good business man would tell you, you make the uniform change once the arrow is pointing up or at it's zenith.  That way they can maximize on all of the new merch sales.  No use rebranding now, when they are surely a bottom 10 team for the next year or so.

I understand the point you're making.  However, it's been 25 years in the current set.

Surprising how the majority of "famous" Eagles fans are the ones that make us all look bad.  Maybe they like focusing on D-Bags.

I heard one of the proposed new rules is to tie one hand behind Kyle Pitts back every game to even the playing field because he is that damn good already and totally not going to be anything less than the best TE ever.

Not really.  The jerseys we have today compared tot he Andy years are not the same. Not even really green anymore and the helmet doesn't match the jersey.

Wouldn't Daily Snark be fake?

Extending Ertz and trading Goedert is a horrible decision IMO

It's been just as long if not longer for the Phillies.  The Flyers have done minor tweaks where some of have been mistakes and look terrible.  The Sixers should have left it the same it was in the early 80's and have looked like fools over the years.  Even now with the City jersey and big arse bell on the front of their jersey.  Green Bay, Dallas, Chicago and many others have not touched theirs ever.  I am fine with the way they are now.  I am not one of those guys who long for the Kelly green all the time.  Like we had so much success back in those days.  I would prefer less black jerseys.  I think it is overdone for us.  I just don't care enough about them, especially right now.  Hell they are cutting the fans out of training camp.  Players don't want to have "voluntary" OTA's because that's what the rest of their union is telling them to say.  Kind of funny, being pressured not to participate in something that is "voluntary".  They killed the message board.  They have limited fan access.  They were once one of the most reasonably priced teams (beer, parking, concessions).  Now they are one of the most expensive in the NFL.  They can rebrand all they want.  I am not sinking much more money into this team until they make a regime change and Lurie backs the F off.

I used to like the Sixers’ all-black jerseys, but the Flyers always screw up by incorporating black — orange is what they are

Depends on the haul you’d get for Goedert.

Nike couldn't match the exact green.  They had an Eagle head on the sleeve when they first came out and the pant stripe changed but for the most part 95% of the uniform is the same thing it's been since 1996.

Ertz should never play another snap for the Eagles

This would be an example of a more light hearted, humorous news story they run.

Okay well, I looked on the internet at other "new sights" and I guess it's not a joke. I've never heard of the guy before but if it's true I hope he fries.

The only reason I suggested trading Goedert is because of the Hayden Hurst trade during last year's draft.  DG is now the same age, with better production that Hurst at the time and Atlanta traded a 2nd and 5th for Hayden Hurst and a 4th.

Even if a team offered a 2nd straight up for DG, I would highly consider making that trade.  He's a nice tight end but not even close to the dominant force we were led to believe he is.

Ask yourself this.  The story is that the Eagles took DG so the Cowboys wouldn't.  Would Dallas be THAT much better than us if that were the case?  I don't think so.

I think he gets the Jonnu Smith type of deal and that's a lot of coin for a tight end when the team has so many holes and like the initial post said...we have to pay Mailata, Sweat, Barnett and possibly Miles Sanders.

The 2021 draft has serious depth at tight end.  The Eagles have 11 picks.  If DG gets traded for a 2nd like I think he could then we have 12 picks with 6 in the top 125.  You could even double dip if you wanted.
