Yes. If you base a player off one one play, you cannot get a full story. I also said 'handled' both Pitts and Smith. It's hard for any corner, safety, or linebacker to say the same thing. 

Jeff Stoutland was the OL coach for years at Alabama. He was heavily rumoured to go back to the Alabama after Doug was fired.

He is 100% on board with Dickerson.

From what I've read, he's a "Stoutland guy".  Tough, strong and athletic.  I'm betting Stoutland banged the table for him...little doubt there.

None of his injuries are recurring injuries.  Dude's had bad luck - okay.  So what?  He's an elite talent and we desperately need elite talent, especially on the offensive line. 

This is the kind of guy you take a chance on.  So was Sidney Jones, even.  Sometimes it pans out, sometimes it doesn't.  I don't mind taking a shot on a guy that could pay off huge.

Outlier after outlier.   Remember Marcus Lattimore?   Probably not.  He didn't come back.  

 

You can take a chance on an injury risk.  We struggled last year because of what problem along the OL?   Was it injury or was it something else?   Bad ankle - Johnson.  Both Achilles - Brooks.  Seumalo missed time.  Dillard with the pec.  Driscoll with an ACL.  How many injury risks should they put at the OL and us say, well, its just 'bad luck', when it comes back to bite them? 

 

Twenty more to go.  Still plenty of players.

We are starting to see the limitation of the shallower pool of players. 

The talent curve has flattened and its becoming a position-based draft.

Lived Asante Samuel senior when he was here, not a big fan of jr. 

Wouldn't have been mad had they taken him but I think he fits best as a nickel and will struggle to be effective on the perimeter because of his size so 2nd round might be a bit high for him.
