Stoutland is a great coach but lets take him off the pedestal. 

Out of 16 games last year we played 14 with different line combos because of injuries.  Dickerson NEVER finished a college season....

I'll go the other way. He will mix in Pro Bowl caliber years, with others in which he plays 3 games and we're scrambling.

One might have a degenerative issue that  could shorten his career. The other has four injuries that derailed four seasons in college and possibly his rookie season.

Wentz fails to finish seasons due to injury, he's an injury concern.   But, this guy fails to finish 3 out of 4 collegiate seasons due to major injuries and he's just a stud with no risk attached?      

I think it is 4 out of 5 seasons.

I'm hoping the injuries were because of something Doug had the players do in the offseason and that the trend ended with him

There was so many healthy linemen there too. Jenkins, Carman, Radunz, Mayfield, Humphrey. Just take one of them if you want a interior lineman.

Last offseason Dickerson had some hype. Maybe he becomes an elite guard. Those injuries though.

Most OL lower body injuries come from getting rolled up on from own team mates or defenders on the ground around their legs, it's not like OL are jumping or making sharp cuts or dragging dudes down, put on some effing knee braces!

Yep.  I'd be totally on board with this.  At the end of the day, it would be up to the comfort level of the player and how well he adapts to playing with a brace full time.  But it's actually common for offensive linemen to wear knee braces.  I bet there's an offensive lineman wearing a knee brace somewhere on the field in over 90% (if not all) NFL games played.
