I turned 38 today and have lost 52lbs since February. I’m very rarely ever proud of myself, but I’m feeling pretty proud today and thought I’d share. Carry on.

  • At this point, I’d like to see a former HC on the staff, but the biggest coaching news left is whether Stout stays.  BOOOOOOOOM

I understand that, but again, Tebow and Hurts had similar rookie seasons as the starting quarterback for their team. This is factual. Not this fantasy land you live in. I understand that's hard for you to grasp, but this is the reality.

Seems like you're a little butt hurt(s).

If you want to show that Hurts had a much better rookie season than Tebow, then sure, compare their stats because that’s exactly what their rookie stats show.

Why do we always play the same damn teams Week 1?

2500!

As if London isn't a complete mess with COVID-1984

There was talk that the Eagles international game this year would be in Berlin or Mexico, and not London.  The Mexico game was on the cards for last season, but for whatever reason, didn't happen.  Now, COVID in Germany is worse than it is over here, so that could change - at least we'll more or less vaccinated by then.

It's strange, but I kinda hope not. I really don't want to go to games and be forced to wear a mask. And I suspect restrictions like that will be in place.

I managed to do a couple of football games this season and masks were compulsory as part of attendance. It wasn't a great experience as it was so cold and I ended up with a face covered in condensation, but going to a game far outweighed that negative. I wouldn't want to do it forever though.  Attendance were limited as well.

Welp, we get to see if the Pitts hype was real.

Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, Kyle Pitts, not sure how we match up there as of today.  Lots of work to do, roster tweaks to make and players TBD who surprises in camp this year but as of today, the Falcons have a severe advantage in the passing game.

When was the last time we played Atlanta week 1?  2005?  I wouldn't consider that a pattern.

I could be misremembering. I'm actually going back to look now. It just seems like it's always one of ATL, NYG, or WAS. If we don't play ATL week 1, we're often playing them by week 2 in the years we have them on the schedule.

Probably not often enough.

I don't remember the last time we played the Giants week 1.

So all of the new Bucs fans last season will get to see from the first game whether they need to switch back to their Cowboys jerseys.

No one has a severe advantage in the passing game in week 1.  Especially when there is no OTA and now limited reps because of the ish bag union.  I'd rather get Pitts and that crew week 1 than week 8 or so.

Whoever plays the Eagles and this back 7 has a clear advantage.  I'm half being a smarta$$ half serious.  I would call the Eagles attempt a improving LB/CB/S this year lackluster to say the least.  I know there are cap limitations and the former Vikings Harris and Wilson are good players but I don't feel any better about the back 7 than I felt about last years.

Ok, so I was kinda right: Since 2013 it's been WAS, JAX, ATL, CLE, WAS, ATL, WAS, WAS, ATL.

Conclusion: Too much WAS and ATL week one. I'd prefer to mix it up a bit.

Valid points. Hopefully the scheme is better. At least they wont have tape on Gannons setups

I would guess the vast majority of new Bucs fans , are Patriot fans too

why would anyone choose to be a cowboys fan ,? What is it they have won in the last few decades?

Why would the NFL think a team that was 6-10 last season and hasn't made the playoffs in 2 seasons should get a prime time match up against the reigning SB Champion?

They get their franchise QB back , who was playing like best QB in the game prior to injury , they’re stacked on offense , defense has nowhere to go but up

We've played WAS 4/9 years and ATL 3/9 years. Sport.

I am hoping that Gannon's approach won't put as much pressure on the secondary.  From a talent perspective, I agree with you but I could see a scenario where the Eagles become a run heavy offense that helps the defense.  I think if there are 2 areas where the team doesn't have as many question marks it's o-line and RB.  Gannon has a couple of veterans now in Wilson and Harris that will be familiar with his scheme.  He has one good CB and 7 million slot CBs.  Also about 8 UDFA candidates to be the next Anthony Barr.  So I'm feeling pretty optimistic.

I like watching you puff your chest about how "right" you are, and then watching you squirm to evade recognizing when you're wrong. Classic. Your macho-man, d-bag routine is tired and pathetic. You are clearly a deeply insecure man.

There's still mandatory OTAs and offseason workouts.

Yes that's it.  I mean it's not because they're America's team.  The good news for Eagles' fans is that we can finally root for Tom Brady.

I hope people realize the point I was making was just looking at the rosters as of May 12, this is a bad matchup for the Eagles.  We have no idea how this team will look come week 1.

I honestly don't know what to expect from the defense.  Schwartz was so stuck in his ways and refused to make any changes that we had to just deal with the same things every week.  The mistakes that were made were always the same.  Maybe just a simple scheme change can help the players currently on the roster.

I really think Gannon is bringing some sort of 3-4 hybrid defense to the table with the players who were drafted and position changes that have been made.  Granted, they've been bottom of the roster guys in Avery and Ostman as well as late round picks but it just has me scratching my head as to what Gannon has up his sleeve for this defense.

The discouraging thing for me is that all through the draft there were players in the back 7 who could have improved this team and they were passed for other positions.  Even when they address LB it's by drafting guys who played other positions and moving them to LB.  That doesn't instill a lot of confidence in me.  It's going to be interesting to see how Gannon puts these pieces together.

That would be logical, which is why it's not likely.  It's been made ever apparent that Lurie likes the passing game.  DP won a SB and had to get ish approved by Lowie.  I would doubt they'd give Nick (Option #10) Sirianni full autonomy.

You should try vinegar instead of piss in your corn flakes.

Isn't their oline a bit of a mess? Honestly don't know since I don't follow the Falcons too closely but I feel like that was talked about a little bit in the lead up to the draft.
