You have no Constitutional Right to Medicare/Medicaid.

Government can't force you to get a shot, but they don't have to pay for you.

I'm not crazy about the TSA as it is, so I'm uneasy about giving them even more power, but at least in this case the benefit of everyone's safety is prioritized over the one idiot who refuses to take a pandemic seriously. At the very least, in lieu of providing proof of vaccination, I'll settle for 2 negative PCR tests in the 3 days prior, and a rapid antigen test at the security checkpoint. Make it inconvenient enough for them that they realize how stupid they are for being a petulant child.

"Trump supporters"

The guy who fast-tracked the vaccines, got the vaccine himself, and is recommending the vaccine all the time

What about all the Dem politicians, including Biden, who said they wouldnt get the vaccine just because it was associated with Trump?

Youre saying hes focused on blaming minorities.  Youre focused on blaming Trump

Its the people who are anti govt in general, selfish, or just lazy.  That cross section covers just about every political affiliation

you're f'ing delusional, mike. just look at the vaccination percentages & tell me which states/areas aren't getting it?  so f'ing obtuse. :nonono:

I'm focused on the problem.  I constantly state that Trump supporters not getting vaccinated are part of the problem, but only part of the problem.  Unlike you cowards, I also recognize the other parts of the problem, minorities and younger people, who happen to vote overwhelmingly for Democrats.  You all are more interested in playing politics then actually solving the problem.

Stupidity must be confronted.

Quite literally, tons of Dems said they wouldn't trust the vaccine because it came from Trump.  We can play the blame game all day.

The only difference is that COVID saved the Dems from losing to Trump so theyve made it their religion.   Theyre trying to attack DeSantis the same way because it worked on Trump.  The Dems are politicizing the vaccine just as much, theyre just as much to blame as any Republican for the same exact logic this guy just used in tweet #11

The states with the lowest vaccination rates are Wyoming, Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, etc.

Those aren't blue states.

Every eligible person refusing the vaccine is an imbecile, regardless of ideology.

So 30 percent of Republicans think Trump is going to be reinstated sometime this year as POTUS. That's a lot of people, no? Do you think many of those people are getting vaccinated?

Its stupid and hypocritical to blame Trump, especially for "politicizing" the vaccine, thats my point. It ignores the reality that hes the entire reason we had a vaccine when we did

The people not getting the vaccine at this point arent avoiding it because of Trump.  There's no basis for that argument considering what I said above

If you guys would take off your political blinders you might see that and then we'd all be able to work together instead of choosing up sides

Trump made some missteps with COVID--nearly every single politician has. But hes not the reason someone is avoiding the vaccine i. August 2021.  He cant continue to be the source of all our troubles

That's right, and they have no minority communities within them.  Nothing but racist white supremacist TRuMpBOtz!  Well, that may be true for Wyoming and Idaho, but still.....

I mean...the scientists had a little to do with it too.

I dont think either party has an edge when it comes to stupid people

For the billionth time, Im not a Republican.  I supported Trump and everyone knows that.  But Im not some big GOP cheerleader either, O just happen to agree with more of their general policies than the Democrats

Of course but if it was up to them theyd probably still be testing it and billions more would be dead.  Give credit where its due

New COVID variants Epsilon, Lambda may be resistant to vaccines, early lab studies show

https://www.nj.com/coronavirus/2021/08/new-covid-variants-epsilon-lambda-may-be-resistant-to-vaccines-early-lab-studies-show.html?outputType=amp

The Epsilon and Lambda variants of COVID-19 are "variants of interest,” according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), and early studies show they have developed a resistance to vaccines.

Japanese researchers found the Lambda variant, which was initially discovered in Peru and is now spreading throughout South America, is highly transmissible and more resistant to vaccines than the initial COVID-19 strain.

and by the time we read this, those variants are already in the united states.

It's an easy, but short-sighted stance.  There are some people with legitimate medical reasons for not getting it.  There are also people who probably saw people they know have side effects from the vaccine, which has soured them to the idea of getting it.  No, that doesn't negate the fact that the effects of Covid usually outweigh the side effects of the vaccine, but it's still a consideration.  And yes, there's also a lot of imbeciles.

The variants will keep coming as long as the unvaccinated remain that way. The only way to stop the variants is to get vaccinated.

People who have medical issues that make the vaccine dangerous aren't in my definition of "eligible." Breaking this down, here's how I see the groups:

1. GOP/Q'Anon/Trump voters -- whatever you want to call them, all the data says this is the largest group. They are fed by Fox, Newsmax, OANN, etc. They scream it's about freedom, but really it's about one thing -- "owning the libs." If Trump were in office, they'd be getting the shots. But they are led by morons like Tucker and GOP governors. This group is likely beyond hope through any means other than coercion like I listed above.

2. Minority Communities -- Tuskegee...OK, it was wrong. If this made people hesitant initially, I can understand that. Over a hundred million people have gotten the shots now. That excuse no longer holds water.

3. Left-wing anti-vaxxers -- the original anti-vaxxers led by their heroine Jenny McCarthy. These people are beyond hope.

4. Lazy ass people -- this is a bigger group than we think. Coercion would work here -- they will get the shot when they see negative consequences that motivate them to get off their arse.
