We have a family member who is only vaccinated because his DoD contractor company would fire him if he didn't get vaxxed. His wife and kids were vaccinated already, one is a paramedic, but he flat out refused until left with no choice.

Just wish it didn't need to be forced. I'm all for letting people make their choice for themselves. If they bring it up I'll tell them what I know and if that isn't good enough for them then I just drop it.

One side of the family is filled with doctors, nurses, EMTs and the like. All pro-vaccine. A big chunk are solidly right wing, solidly Trump supporting - the two sides are not real friendly these days.

I didn't think we were gonna survive as friends, it was just getting ugly at times. Finally he called the one day and asked about the vaccine and what I know because he doesn't trust anyone. I was finally able to get through to him. His wife is in the Air Force, it surprises me that military thinks the government would try to get them killed. That's my thoughts on it anyways.

Not this time, but I think they asked the first time I signed up on the PSU health portal. Since I work in public schools, I fall into that "high-risk" or "frontline worker" category. From what I remember from signing, up, though, there wasn't much to prevent you from just saying you have a scenario that would validate your getting vaxxed early. I just hit my 6-month mark the other day, and the earliest I could schedule was 3 weeks from now. People definitely want the boosters!
