That 50 point loss was kind of worth it. No Kate Scott. I’m buying a radio after the all star break so I can put it on Tom McGinnis during games instead of listening to the screeching.

I don’t have that. How much is that now since it’s mid season? Is it pro-rated?

I dont think itd be all that much less annoying to hear the announcers being homers for the opposing team on an away broadcast.

$50

I’ll try a radio and see if it’s a major issue syncing the two. If it is, I’ll definitely get league pass. Thanks guys.

She does it with Joel too!!!! Joe............... L!!! Then the effing Hanns then the Embiid. Sends shivers down my spine

Replace the clown with Scott and Will for Embiid lol

NYC mayor still not budging on vaccine mandate even with Silver pressuring him.

Josh Hart would be the perfect 3rd player for the Sixers.

Drummond has 19 rebounds tonight.

Once again, it seems like Silver may not be so pleased with the 6ers

Adam Silver was asked for his assessment on what the data shows about player movement in the NBA in response to last week's trade of James Harden for Ben Simmons.

"First of all, I think we've all changed our view," said Silver.

Silver referenced a bygone era in which David Stern would discuss the superstars of the NBA such as Magic Johnson, Larry Bird and Michael Jordan with how they were tied to a single franchise.

"Now what we're seeing in the league, first of all, shorter contracts," said Silver. "Which I don't think is a bad idea because one of the things we tried to do with our players association back beginning around 10 years ago was tie performance to pay in a closer way. And I think that's what we've seen with shorter contracts.

"The data shows that superstars moving isn't necessarily a bad thing because it allows bad situations to [resolve] in an orderly way, to change. It gives teams that may not be in a competitive position hope that they can sign one of those players.

"But shorter contracts to me is something very different and free agents moving at the end of contracts is different than what we just saw where you have players actively seeking to move while they're under contract. The data is clear on that, that's not good for the league."

I have continuously been pondering over that the next move could be in the summer. So much smoke about trading Harris at the deadline, and instantly after the deadline passed you have speculation that we will still try to clear him to make more room for another player.

Ingram seems to be the dream.

Otherwise, I was just thinking about the Knicks. They got pretty good last year without much guard talent. They went and added some guards, and suddenly theyre much worse. Theyve committed long term to Randle, but theyve somehow gotten further away from becoming a contender while trying to build around him.

I wonder if they can be convinced to start over and trade him.

He would be a fantastic fit here. He adds defense. He adds another legit scoring option. He improves rebounding over what Harris provides, but stretches the floor well enough and handles it well enough on the perimeter to be a great fit next to Embiid.

Hes a damn near perfect player for our needs statically, and schematically.

There seem to be two options for creating a package for him. You can send Harris, but that doesnt really allow NY to re-set things. His contract is bigger than Randle's. Or you can send Green, Kork, and Thybulle. A mix of expiring contracts, and reasonably sized tradable contracts, a highly regarded yound prospect, defense, and shooting. One option is a closer talent match. The other is better for NYs salary situation.

Thompson got waived by the pacers but is already set to sign with Chicago.

That was my favorite big man buyout signing we could have made.

Zion may require a 2nd surgery on his foot.  Yikes.

They are much worse because of Randle and his play this year .Dude has been bad  this year and he is extremely lazy on defense. Those numbers last year to this year after getting paid are bad.

Rather Sixers keep Harris

Apparently on the RTRS podcast ( I assume that's rights to Ricky Sanchez) Morey announced that they are close to signing a buyout player.  He said he's actually disappointed they weren't able to officially announce it yet.  It is imminent.

Allegedly is a back up center.

I don't know who has been bought out at center except for Thompson and supposedly he's going to the bulls. Hopefully Morey pulled a steal.

Must be someone already available. Enes Kanter?

Would have to think so. Didn’t realize he’s only 29. Feels like he’s been in the league forever. He actually averaged a double double last season with Portland.

Either way, I think he’d be a decent back up center to give 10-15 minutes a game.

Maybe it’s a situation like Thompson where they know where he is going but they are waiting for the release so it can be announced.

PHILADELPHIA FREEDOM!  :worthy: :usa::groovy:

A backup big and Gary Harris might be enough to get us to the Finals.

Kanter is a good offensive big but not on D. Why he doesn't stick with teams.

Is Orlando actually buying him out? I know that was the hot rumor but they haven’t done so yet. I’d love to get Harris. We could use his shooting. His defense this year has not been great but i suspect it’s because he’s on Orlando. His defensive rating is 116.5 and his career it’s 112.8
