Going to be a lot of new toys for Disney to sell from this movie. Same. Was entertaining, but also wasn’t best Pixar movie ever either. I still don’t get why everyone so pissed off because a lesbian couple hugs and kisses for a split second. Guess that’s considered grooming nowadays, instead of just showing two people in love be slightly affectionate for a millisecond

Cliff notes version without spoiling it Very Baz Luhrmann where he prioritised style over substance It felt disjointed because of this because the story is a bit all over the place It drags towards the end since it is close to 3 hours with previews. The movie is watchable, but I wouldn't rush out to see it and not a must on the big screen The actor (Elvis) is the guy they picked for Feyd Rautha in Dune2.
July 6, 20223 yr Minions - Rise of Gru - Save yourself some money and wait until it’s streaming in a month or two. While at the theater I saw the poster for this It’s like they took a fake movie from Entourage and actually made a real movie out of it.

You could tell scenes/moments had been cut out with no regard for the impact of their absence.

July 23, 20223 yr The gray man was ok - pretty typical action/thriller but it was entertaining enough

It was a pretty good movie and more psychological with some supernatural elements than jump scares which I liked.
August 8, 20223 yr Prey, the new Predator sequel on Hulu is a nice watch. Doesn't drag and visually pleasing.
August 8, 20223 yr There were several comments on Prey in the Horror Movie thread. General consensus is that it was pretty good, and I would agree. Awesome pace to it, really enjoyed the lead female. Good action sequences. Best Predator movie since the original, by a pretty wide margin I'd say.

A buddy of mine said it was really good, my question was, we have seen the weaponry that a Predator has, and how it stacked up against modern day weapons, how the heck could the Indians even deal with that, but he said it was done really well.

I mean they got over a billion people, so by sheer numbers they should be able to overpower the Predator!

Minor spoiler Spoiler So yeah - this Predator's weaponry didn't seem QUITE as advanced as the newer versions, which would make sense as it was set like 250+ years before the original. But yes, how they went about it didn't feel cheap at all.
