https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/big-boards/2023/consensus-big-board-2023?pos=QB  Any team who wants a QB should have NP finding 1 next draft. Key for us(assuming we keep Hurts which looks more like a lock every week) we have a nice leverage pic at what should be a top 10 from the Aints. a 4th or 5th could easily garner pics in that draft as well as another round 1  next year, maybe even another late 1 pick and a round 1 next year. That would give us 3 round 1 players to pick up some young studs at CB,S and another spot. Still a fan of my "undraftable" trash QB Hooker. If we got him we could Hooker and Dicker(I'll show myself out again lol). Hooker could easily be a #2 right away behind Hurts. Don't really feel like starting another QB controversy however,so I think we avoid pulling a Wentz, but still feel we grab a BU QB somewhere in that draft. I wanted Hooker, but he is just moving up fast,so will look for a less threatening one(which was Hooker at the time). I remember we kinda liked that kid from Coastal Carolina,so maybe him,but thats' for another day. Right now we need to spank the Cards and with a beat up O line I want to dazzle them with offensive brilliance and defense that bends but won't break 32-20 Eagles

I think we could take a shot on Phil Jurkovec from Boston College. He interests me as a potential backup QB. He’s not anything like a Hurts clone however.

Play Action Vs RPO

In conclusion, the best way to identify the difference between the read-option, play-action, and RPO is to identify the lineman and the wide receivers.

Lineman Blocking Run + Wide Receivers Blocking Run = Read Option

Lineman Blocking Run + Wide Receivers Running Routes = RPO

Lineman Blocking Pass + Wide Receivers Running Routes = Play Action

The combination of offensive lineman blocking run and receivers getting into their routes – puts the defense (especially the linebackers) in conflict on who to cover. This is why RPOs have been red hot over the past five years and will continue to evolve.

Don't prefer the RPO but it seems to be gaining traction. May get better once they train the linemen they can't go downfield on this one, thats where you are seeing the penalties

So now I will look more closely at Aiden O'Connell from Purdue. We need one with huge upside that may take time to devlop, but one that isn't a threat to Hurts. I know we visited with Grayson from Coastal Carolina, but he chose to stay in school

Anyway seems to me O'Connell would drop right into this offense, not a big arm about like Hurts but his accuracy is off the charts. 6th year senior so he has to declare. Maybe we offer Shew a nice contract as a BU but I know he wants to start,so we have options here and this kid could be one of them

https://draftwire.usatoday.com/lists/2023-nfl-draft-grayson-mccall-coastal-carolina-highlights-film-room-video/  McCall would be a really late round choice. Probably wont make it into UDFA territory, but one we could take a flier on. We had a visit with him last year(which could mean nothing at all) he would be a 2-3 year project. he has alot of mechanics to clean up watching his tape, but he has skills

https://www.profootballnetwork.com/bijan-robinson-rb-texas-nfl-draft-scouting-report-2023/  Not immediately pressing, but this kid really stands out as a RB. He really has no weakness to his game. Sure there are things to improve upon, but he has the tools to be a stud RB. Being a 3 down back when we have an RBBC will enhance his longevity. We can use him on 3 downs and then use him on 3rd in passing mode if we choose. Endless versatility here. I know we need other things, but if he is around when we pick,I would have to seriously take a look. Possibly trade that high NO pick back take him in the 10-12 range with an additional 1 pick(him at 10-12 and 2 more later round 1's) I will be watching him in "BIG games to see how he performs vs the better teams

I watched the Bama game. Not the same team without Young, but they won a squeeker. Battle, who I like, made some good plays and he is on my radar as a round 1 pick for us

Trade back from 4/5  ROund 1- Robinson-RB-Texas   BJ Ojulari-Edge-LSU  Battle-S -Bama   CB round 2

Wonder if they try Simmons on Goedert?

Guess that high flying awesome #1 ranked Detroit offense ain't gonna be that after today(but like I said what do I know?) 😏

He’s the guy Tennessee took while trading AJ to us. So he theoretically could have been our WR draft pick option instead of the trade.

We have AJ... no theories.  The other guy is irrelevant

Idk....what do you know and what is Detroit have to do with anything...or Burks or Wentz,or Pederson or Reagor....etc.   People need to move on. This is our team and the current players are all that matters.  2022 is all that matters, not 2019 salary cap.   Jefferson was drafted to Minnesota...we move on.

Robinson is tough and the banger we've needed

Was torn who to root for in the GB - NY game, still don't know how I feel about it.

LOL saw it.

Finally a commercial worth watching

Looking for a big day for Goedert.

I'm glad it's not windy in a dome. I guess it depends on how heavy the Card's fans are breathing when the Eagles are kicking ass lol

How many would vote to rape Miami and offer them Minshew right now?

Yeah but would Howe spend a 1 pick on a RB? Doesn't seem likely
