Agree.  What do we consider solid starters though?  Guys who don't make mistakes on the field or guys who are out there making plays that effect the game?  I think Singleton last year came in and proved to be a solid starter.  He made lots of tackles and made an occasional play that stood out.

Somewhere between a Singleton and a really good player

Just some random comments for people who didn't watch the game and have no intention to do so. I find myself being more annoyed at the result of the game than I probably should. It's ridiculous t

Either the bleeding green nation live twitter feed isn't working properly or these beats are being very quiet/inactive this camp.  Not a lot of reporting going on.

It's the beats. Day 1, might just be a whole lot of nothing going on

I would think Mailata counts as that.

Possibly, but not if Dillard gets the job.

I think there are multiple reasons:

McLeod was injured December 13, and he is also not cleared.  Same timeline.

When Dickerson was doing the cartwheels, was that a kid doing stupid things, or was it sanctioned by a doctor tied to his future team?

NFL teams have a way of working through these injuries.  It was rather recent, and now that the training staff and team doctors have him right in front of them, they can ramp up activities under their close scrutiny before turning him loose.  Dickerson is Mr. Glass... let's not get in front of ourselves with him.   I am not expecting him until mid-season.  If he's available sooner, great.  If he's not available at all this season... so be it.   It was a terrible draft decision, but it is done.  Now they need to do what they need to do to get the most from him, with the least set backs and future injuries (not exactly this team's strong suit).

McLeod and Dickerson can participate in team and position meetings and workout but cannot practice with the team.  My bet is both are on the 53 man roster and then moved to PUP. To start the season.  Probably no reason to rush them back.

It BEGINS. NASTY NATE BAY BEEEEEE

QB turned TE? Nice. Cya, Ward!

Devonta Smith is going to be a great fantasy pick this year. I can see Hurts locking in on him or running every play.

I found this interesting:

"He doesn't think he's above anybody," Herbig said. "He doesn't work like he's entitled to anything. He works like he owes you something. I have a lot of respect for that."

Herbig is talking about Hurts but the "above” and "entitled”, I think he may well be describing Wentz based on what McLane reported about the locker room.  I think Hurts has won them over with his work ethic.

Sounds like Lane has really instilled the work out bug in Herbig.  That and all the playing time has probably caused him to work harder.  I bet with the ten yard sprints and weight loss he can improve his speed which was an issue last year.  Real curious to see how he does in camp.

Yet another person lauding Hurts’ work ethic. He might not be any good, but I think he’ll reach whatever ceiling he has.

So McLane wasn’t just looking for controversy?

no one said it was an excuse.

Then why state falsehood.

You claimed that vaccinated people are more likely to spread covid than unvaccinated.

I gave you a source to refute that claim and I stead if refuting that claim with a ones own credible source you claimed my source contradict themselves.

Yet you havent  given your own credible source to back up your claim.

So what was ones Intention of ones claim In Response to another poster who said people shouldn't be worried about others getting vaccinated ,than to encourage others to not get vaccinated?

CDC recommends people get vaccinated not just because recent studies show vaccinated people are less likely to spread covid but they are also less likely to die if contracting covid.

Way too early takes (summary):

We found an Ertz replacement, Reagor is a bust, and Smith will have over 300 targets this year

Practice is over. Must have been a light day. Didn't hear much about 7v7s or 11v11s

There will be a Nick Sirianni presser as soon as he finishes playing fiddlesticks with Hakeem Buttler

Super bowlzzzz or 0-17?

I'm not sure what his ceiling is, but I am looking forward to drama-free BS with him. He's coachable, busts his tail, and is a good teammate. He seems like a good leader and the type of person guys can rally around. But yeah, his actual performance and talent is still up in the air.

Depends on Reagor 😄

Another surprise.  I never liked the Davion Taylor pick.  If he comes in a different player and actually plays meaningful, good snaps at LB that would be tremendous.

Nice to see Sirianni giving both a chance.  Really thought when they didn’t extend Mills, that Wallace would be the SS.

Is Tiddlywinks tomorrow of Friday ??

off topic but Mac Jones wears #50?

That has to be the worst number for any player in NFL history

Could be this afternoon even. He likes to keep players on their toes

I was just wondering this morning if QBs can wear numbers >19

Hurts has been praised as a leader since he was a freshman at Alabama. Nick Saban loves him. All his teammates raved about him at 2 different schools. None of this is surprising.

Not his real number. BB apparently gives rookie QBs wacky numbers for training camp and OTAs for some reason.

New England assigns their rookies player numbers in the 50s and 60s based on when they were picked in the draft. Mac Jones was the New England Patriots' first pick in the 2021 draft, which is why the franchise has conferred the No 50 on him for the duration of the rookie minicamps, OTAs, and training camp.
