I don’t know which is better. I mean if they stay winless that could be better, but if they keep losing the Colts may just start to realize that he’s just not that good and bench him. It’s a dilemma.

This week it’s better that Indy wins. The Miami pick is set in stone, so the more losses, the better. I don’t want Indy winning too much after that. If Wentz stays healthy, (relatively speaking of course), I’m not as convinced they’ll bench him just to save the pick, but if he’s more and more beat up by then, then I can see it happening.

You want to keep the Colts interested enough to keep starting Wentz, if they keep losing no way they will surrender that 1st round pick..

No, no, no... that's not what you say. What you say is:

well, at least colts beat the dolphins today and wentz played 100% of snaps. Dolphins and colts now both 1-3

So far, so good.
Ravens, Texans, 49ers, Titans, Jets, Jags, Bills, Bucs, Texans are games remaining for Colts before their bye week in week 14. If Wentz plays all those snaps by then, we get the Colts 1st. Colts are 1-3, I’d say they’ll go around 4-5 over that time leaving them 5-8. It’s possible they could still be in the race for AFC south. Titans are 2-2 with a week 13 bye; and schedule ahead for them is Jags, Bills, Chiefs, Colts, Rams, Saints, Texans, Patriots before bye. I think they’ll go most likely go around 4-4 over that time, leaving them 6-6. After the Titans bye they have Jags, Steelers, 49ers, Dolphins, Texans to finish their season. Much more manageable compared to Colts who have Pats, Cardinals, Raiders, Jaguars.

Titans and Colts 2nd matchup could be a big deal for us getting that 1st round pick

I think Colts will finish 8-9, or 7-10 and miss the playoffs.. It’ll be interesting though since Titans lost to the jets today.

Nope cause we still have the same guy picking them. I don't even care about any of these picks now.

The good news is, the higher the picks the less chance he screws it up.

But I'm afraid he'll just trade picks away and trade back for "assets."

The last time he picked this high he referred to the players as flavors ice cream. I have my doubts. 😂

According to sportrac, the Eagles rank 22nd in the NFL for 2022 cap space.  Not ideal, but hardly destroyed.

Ranking is irrelevant.  It is how much space, how many players under contract, the rookie pool, etc.  Eagles are in cap hell, and it is going to get worse.

Well that isn’t going to get better if the Eagles have to go out there and overpay for Watson, because that not only kills the cap, but it kills any chance off using picks to improve the team so you might want to get on the Hurts hope train despite how much you hate him.

Wait until the contracts with voided years hit that dead cap space.   That will make it about $35M in dead cap space.

OTC has the void future void years already calculated into 2022 cap space.

Specific examples?  I think you're being naive to how events actually transpired in Philly regarding Wentz.

Doug pulled him from the game against GB without telling him he wasn't going back in.  He still had his helmet on several plays afterward assuming he was going back into the game.  Wentz spoke with Rodgers after the game -- QBs are a fraternity of sorts, and Rodgers likely told him 'if the organization isn't behind you it's time to look out for yourself'.  I believe this because 1) Rodgers' own actions this offseason towards his team, and  2) Wentz told Pat McAfee himself he knew his time with the Eagles was done when he was pulled against GB.

Wentz has to look after his livelihood, just like any other player does.  He and his agent correctly assessed the market as CHI and IND would gladly take him as their starting QB and his job would be assured.  The Eagles were unwilling to guarantee his starting job this season -- which means his contract would likely be cut short by the organization as soon as they could -- demonstrated by their willingness to eat as much dead salary as they did.

Don't pretend Wentz leaving was a 100% Wentz decision.  Doug told Troy Aikman and Brett Favre that it was his wish to go forward with Jalen Hurts as starting QB.  Howie drafted Jalen Hurts.  If the Eagles were committed to Wentz, they would have traded Jalen Hurts.  When the organization starts to move, then the player is stupid not to have his agent act in his best interests.  All communication during the offseason prior to the Wentz trade was between Howie and the agent.  Strictly business -- and smart business.

I never cared for Wentz from day one he never was a leader on this team .
