He's the same size as Isaac, at least listed size.

Stronger than Isaac as well: 25 bench press reps to 19.

Not for nothing, but Isaac was a disaster early on in his career. So I don't think the team took Jurgens with any thoughts of "he's the same size as Isaac so he can probably play guard."

Maybe the lack of volume of late draft picks makes the Eagles more attractive to UDFA.

I think you’re right, especially at unsettled positions like safety and corner. Maybe TE if we don’t draft one.

In year 2, I agree.

In year 1, if we have a few injuries...he might play G.

We have plenty of G depth, I wonder if he even gets activated on game day.

I think Jurgens could play OG in year 2. He might need to add another 10 lbs to feel comfortable handing the bigger DTs.

Yeah, I think he’s more "can play G in a pinch” this year.

Not unless Stoutland and the staff believe that he can be kicked out to Guard.

I'll be shocked if he doesn't get reps at Guard to see what he can do there at OTAs/TC.

He played two games at DT and then promptly redshirted to transition to C, where he already had experience from his HS days. I don’t think comparing him and Jurgens’ experience is similar at all.

The transition from DT to interior OL is easier than TE to interior OL, TE tend to transition to OT as they bulk up (Lane), and they're used to blocking people on their outside shoulder.

Jergens has OG size, 6'3 303, with 33" arms and 10" hands, not long enough for OT, but like Driscoll (6'4.5, 306, 33" arms), athletic enough to play there in a pinch.

I suspect they'll get him up to 310 or so (but not more, don't want to slow him down), and train him at center and both guard spots as a rookie.

There are some CBs left with upside. I'd be aggressive and try to move up. Maybe package Herbig/Reagor with the 5th.

Eagles need a free agent CB. Here's a list of signed / unsigned players from Spotrac

2022 NFL Free Agents Tracker | Spotrac

Who do we sign?

Kevin King, Kyle Fuller or Rhodes

Rhodes would fit the scheme the best as hes better in short zones

Between Dickerson’s injury history, Seumalo being injury prone, and Kelce turning 35 this year, someone is going to fall out of the lineup and open the door for snaps for Jurgens.

Oh I see.  Year 1 maybe.

Seumalo and Driscoll will both go down by week 12. Good chance for Jurgens to see some NFL bullets.

F it.  Draft a QB today.   We clearly don’t care about the secondary.  I’m sure we’ll draft another a slot corner though.

My theory is draft a QB every year in the mid to late round. Keep that factory moving.

Driscoll RT/G, Herbig G/C would be seen to be ahead of Beef… but things change.

Yup.

Can't bank on Seumalo's health at all.

You'd rather throw probably the 6th cb to be picked today onto the stack of guys we have now? Punter probably likeliest to play (definitely)

Not at all.  We have enough 6th round and UDFA CB on our team.  I think RB is a good value in the late rounds.  TE as well.

Driscoll. I can remember about 100 names in this draft at the expense of our current roster.

Texans pick Pierce. I will be drafting him a ton I'm fantasy.

TDN got that evaluation just about right, still surprised he lasted this long.

Nevermind, he went in the 2nd to IND… which does make sense.

Damien Pierce - jobber a la Boston Scott.
