Leprechaun is obviously sci-fi/ fantasy Jason X is clearly still horror because he started out as a horror icon duh!

Keeps you on the edge of your seat jump scares and you can't sleep at night =horror Keeps you on the edge of your seat " that's effed up" and "oh sheet" moments = thriller

Loved it. Twisted and over the top at times. Phenomenal end scene, visually with the two of them becoming one playing the Cello jawn Maybe not for every audience though (aka watching w the wife) as there is some heavy lesbian action throughout. But in terms of a fun, at times ridiculous "scary" movie I really enjoyed it.

" Predator" sci fi thriller just like " Alien" Whoah, wait a sec. Alien is definitely sci-fi horror. Maybe the most definitive sci-fi horror ever. Some of the sequels cross over to the Predator sci/action category but the original is definitely horror. You could even make a plausible case for Alien being the greatest horror movie of all time (I don't think so but it's within shooting range).

You are right with alien though. In my mind there is difference between horror and thriller to me anyways

The scene where the Spoiler one girl gets stuck trying to go through that small opening freaks me out more than the creatures. The 2nd one was unimaginative.

I think if you found the right movie, you wouldn't even notice after the first 15min. Once you're immersed in the story, the subtitles don't even bother you. Three that come, immediately, to mind are: City of God Oldboy Trollhunter

I would never count them among my favorite movies or even seek them out for a re-watch but I would recommend horror fans at least see the major titles like CH. Obviously, it probably the least PC horror sub-genre there is so I wouldn't advise it for people bothered by that kind of thing. The animal mutilation is pretty unpleasant even for the most hardened viewers. One of the first "found footage" movies. I liked it a lot, but killing animals really bothered me. Especially the turtle. Would a Serbian Film be considered a horror?
May 18, 20205 yr With Alien, and Event Horizon considered sci-Di horror, I assume that Pitch Black would be as well? That was a pretty good one too.

I saw A Serbian Film as the fifth movie I watched that day at a film festival when it first on the festival circuit. Walked in knowing absolutely nothing about it. The theater was about 2/3 full when it started. I'd guess about 20ish people walked out early.

Just saw this and the 2nd one a few weeks back. I really like the 1st one, especially for the shock factor. Spoiler I was definitely happy I wasn't one of those D-bags that committed the crime.
