Maybe the most definitive sci-fi horror ever. Some of the sequels cross over to the Predator sci/action category but the original is definitely horror. You could even make a plausible case for Alien being the greatest horror movie of all time (I don't think so but it's within shooting range). The scene where the Spoiler one girl gets stuck trying to go through that small opening freaks me out more than the creatures. Especially horror movies. I think if you found the right movie, you wouldn't even notice after the first 15min. Once you're immersed in the story, the subtitles don't even bother you. I saw A Serbian Film as the fifth movie I watched that day at a film festival when it first on the festival circuit. Walked in knowing absolutely nothing about it.
