May 3, 20241 yr R. Lee Ermey was perfect casting for his role in that He even made the TCM remake sequels tolerable

Expect lots of posts in here boys and girls! Saw "Resurrection” earlier, and I have no idea what actually happened. Anyone - @Shepard Wong, @mikemack8, @homerpat - what the F was that?!

May 6, 20241 yr Rewatched The Descent, again. I do think it's my fave horror movie of all time. What sets it apart from other faves like The Thing, Alien, Hills have eyes etc is the character arcs. The final is so gut wrenching because its meaningful. Makes the whole thing symbolic of Sarah's grief. That on top of the the fact its maybe even more terrifying before they get to the monsters.

May 8, 20241 yr Author I don't know how I missed this one, but I just started an Indonesian horror called "May the Devil Take You." Holy sheet - it's off to a fantastic start, and it looks like it has gotten really good reviews. Will report back.

It honestly reminded me of an Indonesian "Evil Dead.” It was a little over the top, but I would recommend.
May 13, 20241 yr Author I’ve been hearing a lot about Mind Body Spirit in the found footage world. I checked it out this weekend and I thought it was ok. Worth a watch but don’t pay for it. Spoiler The main actress is agonizing. She’s so annoying I’d like to reenact the ending of Thanksgiving and slow cook her on 300 in the oven. However, the ending is decent. Overall, I don’t think it lives up to the little bit of hype it is receiving.
May 16, 20241 yr Just got done watching The Outwaters. Probably the most "what did I just watch" movie I've ever seen.

That movie made me nauseous with the found footage camera work. It was supposed to be amazing, but it definitely fell flat. I liked it more than most, but I’m not watching it again.
