In a young QB it is. Means he's trying to make plays instead of just dumping it off at the first sign of pressure. Nor did he throw a lot of interceptions, so he's either pulling it down and running or throwing the ball away. His int % was the same as Ryan and better than Carr, Herbert, Allen and Burrow.

No, it’s not. And you definitely don’t want to lower it. It means he’s taking off running at the first sign of pressure or holding the ball too long and not taking what the defense is giving you. It’s inefficiency.

I'm sorry I brough such a depressing topic into the blog.  A little back story without too much detail. I met my friend 12 years ago during an AF commissioning program. He was on top of the world

The int % may be low, but some of those interceptions were pretty brutal.

Would be interested to see the rest of the list, because there's nothing I like more than stats without any context.

What's their definition of a check down attempt? There was a discussion the other day about Hurts throwing behind the LoS a lot, and someone said in the playoff game he was 12-12 behind the LoS. I would consider those check down attempts, and with 12 in one game it would be hard to convince anyone he only had 7 previous to that.

It sounds like their definition may be an attempt after the play has developed. In that case, Hurts ran on almost 25% of his total attempts. Of course his check down attempts are going to be low when he's running that frequently.

They don’t count throws behind the LoS if that’s the primary target. They also don’t say what exactly they use to determine it though.

There are way too many variables to draw anything meaningful from a QB checkdowns stat. What kind of offense are they running? Sometimes checkdowns are good, sometimes they're not.

It’s one of the things you want to be around the middle compared to league average, imo. You obviously don’t want to be at the top but also not at the bottom.

In back to back to back seasons, we drafted an Olineman in the first round whos effectively a bust, our perennial all-pro LT was let go, and our perennial pro bowl RG retired early due to injury.

You do those 3 things to any other line in the league and there’s no way they’re top 10. But we’re still 1st, this team knows how to build an Oline.

OK, huge change in direction here...dating advice.

I've been out with this girl a few times, things going really well.  Not exclusive yet but could see it going that direction.  Unfortunately, here mom passed away unexpectedly and as expected, that put the brakes on the two of us moving forward.  We aren't at a place yet where I'm the person she looks to for comfort, even though I'd love to be that.  Communication has come to a halt.  What do you do?  Let her go and grieve on her own, hoping she comes back?  Chalk it up as a loss and move on to the next one but let her know I'm here if she needs me?  Feel horrible for her and want to be there but just don't know what to do.

Your bias towards Hurts and/or being right and/or being a troll is laughable.  I would post exactly why but multiple people that watched Hurts play football last year have already done that for me in the last hour.  You’re a smart guy but I don’t think you understand what you’re watching at QB.

Be open and available to her. You know her best. Some people prefer to isolate, some the opposite. just ask her what you do to help. Or just listen

Just let her know that you’re around if she needs anything. Without getting too creepy ask how she’s doing every once and a while.

What is a ‘check down’ in this system? Our entire passing offense was pretty much dump offs.

I'm guessing Penei Sewell had a great rookie year, because I would have never guessed the Lions even had a mediocre offensive line.  All you hear and read about is Slater in LA.  I'm not surprised by our ranking.  Our OL last year was unreal and uninjured.  The amount of space, separation, and time they created for Hurts was a dream come true.  #1 run offense in the NFL without a RB (except for the QB).   Unfortunately, we have Hurts.  We still have the talent on the OL, but I'm nervous about the injuries.  It was too good to be true last season, although @austinfan will tell you that there's no doubt our OL will improve this season (despite it being at its absolute peak last season).  I'm almost not even counting Brooks because he was already done multiple seasons prior.

The best I can tell is passes after the primary reads with the QB under pressure or past a certain amount of time. I’m sure there’s probably aDoT or something like that in there too.

Sewell was good and moving Vaitai to RG full time improved the line. Ragnow is a solid C and Jackson/Decker on the left is a good combo. They invested pretty heavy into their line through the years. 3 first round picks, a 3rd and Vatai as a FA.

They actually had a decent draft last year.  Brown and Sewell were both good. Had some nice depth pieces I actually think they had a good draft this year. People think they are just going to be awful week 1, they gave the niners a game last year at home. Lost 41-33

Yep. They seem to be headed in the right direction of not being a complete embarrassment.

I'm praying to the high heavens that Dillard looks great and dominates at RG.  I know that's a big ask, but if that worked out?  This line would give Squirts enough time to do 180s, see ghosts, eat a hot dog, put on a swag hat, and still hit his primary target after they've run out of gas.

I'd simply say something like this:

"Hey, just checking in. I know you have a lot on your plate, but I hope you and your family are doing well. I'm around if you need to talk"

And leave it at that. Can't be too clingy because it'll make her feel as though you're being insensitive. If she doesn't respond at all/keeps jerking your chain, move on and start talking to other women. If she comes back around in a few weeks, go from there.

Wrong answer. Hit her with a "you up?”

1st- there have been no pics. So I really dont believe the racist even has a gf.

2nd- All you need to say is, " I know you're sad, but my PP is lonely. I'm swinging by." And you go. Grow a set, and go.

You don't have game, son.

These broads today are all about feelings. Fake it til you make it.

If all else fails, act like RTK does with Jalen Hurts.

I kind of think the Texans could take the mantle from the lions. They have all those picks due to the watson trade but i could totally see them blowing them and continue to fire their coaches
