August 17, 20223 yr You don't really need an expensive charging station. Most of you could probably DIY a 240V outlet in you garage. That's all you need to charge up reasonably quickly while you're car is at home. The problem is up front cost of the car. Not all are Tesla, but even the Kia EV is pretty pricy.

Styles change and they are trying to adapt and incorporate new technologies into the design. I do like the direction some of the car companies are going with more "retro" looking designs like the newer Bronco and the new Nissan Z that looks similar to the Datsun 240z I don't like when they try to push a completely different vehicle as being the same, like the mustang mach-e. Just give it a different name. It's not a mustang. 2 minutes ago, RLC said: Building an appropriate infrastructure, but that is rarely a priority. How do you deal with all the NIMBY's? I've heard Texas is going to be building a high speed rail here for the last 20+ years and not a single mile of track has been laid. Only major cities between Boston and DC is it easier to travel by train than by car/air. I fully agree we need a significantly better infrastructure, but it's not happening any time soon. Cities are designed and built for car travel in the US. Until that changes, cars are going to be the primary mode of transportation.

Not having reliable transportation and access to a car is synonymous with significant poverty in most states. There just aren't economic opportunities or access to viable ones without a vehicle for most people. It's not like people need to be convinced of the need to have one. There isn't a transportation structure that supports not having a vehicle. 4 minutes ago, LeanMeanGM said: 8/17/22 The Blog tackles Greenhouse Gas emissions and solves the climate crisis. I understand the need to have EV options but I think it's a really bad move to go straight to EV and not have a combustion engine option at all. There are a lot of people out there who will never get an EV. It's just not feasible to have the entire country buy an EV let alone having a power grid to support them. I saw that the ceo is open to having a hybrid or all electric muscle car. Though muscle car heads will disagree that they should be called muscle cars then

I will take my personal safety into my own hands, Thank you, and not rely on a 20 minute Police response. This is a divisive issue, no doubt but I would rather sing over your grave than have you sing over mine. I have my own well thought out views on the gun debate that arent entirely in agreement with yours. It's not a discussion I wish to have on this blog though I have before. If you really do want to talk about our different view point PM me and I'll be more than happy to discuss that. It's a topic I've had with many different people with varying views on guns from one end of the spectrum to the next .

I'm not sure, we took a train ride up to a silver mine, did a tour of the mine, it was cool. We stayed I believe in Silverton, we Airbnb with some friends, the house was really nice was a lot of fun. Also did a hike up the side of the mountain where the WSU football team crashed. I wasn't expecting much maybe a few pieces of scrap metal but there were whole landing gears up there and sections of the wings, lots of things people left for victims, football helmets, jerseys, photos, letters, stuff like that. It was a sobering moment and also a place where one could feel people had come to peace with the incident. That whole area of colorado is the closest thing I can get to that reminds me of the mountains back In Utah without going back to Utah.

Internal combustion engines will be around for a while but gas is really about where it should be given global demand. Given the advancement in batteries, it makes sense to move toward EVs although at this point I am thinking my next car is the next generation plug in hybrid. If you have ever driven an electric car, you have experienced real acceleration. No internal combustion engine can compete.

A REASONABLE individual, properly trained, does not involve their gun in a shouting match. The weapon is available for life-threatening situations and to protect others from the same. A REASONABLE individual will be extremely reluctant to employ their weapon. On the other hand, don't break into my house or try to carjack me. Get it? But carrying to coach youth football? Don’t see that as a self defense issue

Mopar or no car and I give them tons of credit for giving the middle finger to the establishment and going all out on insanely powered cars, trucks and SUV’s. They forced Chevy and Ford to up their game in the muscle car market. Watch the video if you want to see what’s coming for their final year, even the Road Runner is returning.
