And why did Trump feel the need to make that move?  Because it was a standard practice.

There was no emergent national security risk that warranted this search.  Its political expediency but once again the Dems have overplayed their hand and shot their wad too soon.

So this strengthens Trump?

You are all drunk

You guys need to try not to think about Trump for a few days in a row to try and get your clarity of thought back

Among the GOP, this is absolutely helping Trump. Trump himself sees it as a way to consolidate support.

The FBI's raid on Mar-a-Lago could wind up benefiting former President Donald Trump's potential 2024 comeback bid. Political strategists say the Justice Department's action against Trump has solidified Republican support behind the former president — at least for the time being.

"I’ve never seen the GOP base this red-hot before, and it’s clearly causing Republicans to rally to his defense," said Andy Surabian, a GOP strategist and former White House official under Trump. "Ironically, all the Democrat-media attacks on Trump, from yesterday's raid to the January 6th Committee hearings, do nothing politically but ensure that Republican voters stay attached to his hip."

none of us have even seen the search warrant or list of documents that were taken out of moron-a-lego....yet repugs are ready to defend cheeto to the death. facts, be damned!

No one really gives a ish about the national archives.  Do you?  Really?  No, you dont.

And did you miss when Trump was the president for 4 years?   What motivation does he have now to sell classified material, or whatever you think is going on here?

Wait, you don't think this was already dragged out? You think this was an expedited timeline?

You've dug yourself quite a hole over the last few pages. It's probably time to put the shovel away.

Strengthening Trump is a win for the Democrats. He's by far and away the weakest general election candidate among the GOP contenders. DeSantis would walk into the Oval Office at this point, but Trump likely loses again. Trump was losing steam among the GOP, and now they are all rallying to him again.

This wasn't politically motivated, and there's a 0.0% chance the Democrats would be smart enough to do this, but this is a massive win for Biden's 2024 reelection.

For 2024 I would tend to agree. But it's also a risk I'm loathe to take ... Trump running and losing again could make Jan 6 look like a quaint gathering ... Trump winning? Not sure the nation would survive another Trump presidency.

The GOP will see this as an obvious political attack and abuse of power.  Theyll rush to the defense of that principle alone, not of Trump himself.

This, along with Bidens massive IRS expansion is easy political fodder for literally any GOP candidate without packaging it as a pro-Trump message.

Trump was compelled to make a standard practice a felony? WTF does that even mean? You basically called it jaywalking, and now when presented with proof that Trump was the one that made it a felony, you're trying to say he was compelled to do so because it was a standard practice. And then proceed to make excuses for him after he commits said felony? Do you hear how unbelievably stupid you sound right now?

what the hell do you think has been going on for 18 mos? the DOJ met with Trump multiple times about the missing classified documents and he didn't do anything.

classified material can be absolutely used as leverage if you're a guy whose interaction with the world around him is purely transactional.

This investigation has been going on for several months. They asked for the records to be returned multiple times.

It may consolidate support in the party, but the Republican voters who have had enough of Trump, and don't want his as the nominee will either not show up on election day in 2024, or will show up and vote Dem.

It was a standard practice for former politicians to retain access to classified material.  Trump saw the political attack and went after it.

Why we he need to make that a felony if no one ever did it?

Thats point #1

The unbelievably stupid ones are you guys.  Yet again wrapped up in another pretend scandal. And Trump has been out of office forever yet now it requires an FBI raid?  Interesting.

Lets see if they charge him with a felony.  You think they will?

So then he should've known more than anyone not to commit the very same crime he made a felony. You're basically admitting he's the dumbest person to have ever held the office.

What happened on Monday was that the FBI executed the warrant. What happened on Tuesday was the beginning of a torrent of trumbpot tears that will provide me with amusement for the foreseeable future.

Enjoy the certain felony trial to come.  Hold your breath.

The raid was so drawn out, it was planned by GOP operatives to garner support for Trump.

Also, everyone that is coming to Trump's defense... FoxNews, GOP... They all look like criminals.
