I think they might be actually dumb enough to go forward with it. Sure feels like slowly, but surely, the "smart" people in his orbit have split, and he's now left with increasingly dumber and dumber people to advise him. He went from people like McGahn, to Cipollone, to Rudy, to Powell, and now this OAN anchor?

The Trumpbots in here are strangely silent this morning.  What gives?

Here's the trailer for the movie coming to a theater near you...

"All that evidence was planted by the feds, just like they planted the pipe bombs at the DNC"

"And even if it wasn't planted, it's not a big deal that he had top secret information about nuclear weapons because he declassified it before he left"

"And even if he didn't declassify it, I still like that he's one of us and not one of those stiffs like rest of the establishment."

The type of rhetoric that only works on the absolute dumbest segment of our country.

Did Trump try to sell the materials to Putin?

Report that FBI sought nuclear documents sharpens Trump showdown with Justice Department

(CNN)A report that FBI agents searched for classified documents related to nuclear weapons at Donald Trump's Florida resort could explain the urgency of the unprecedented operation at the home of an ex-President and takes his showdown with the Justice Department to a grave new level.

The account in The Washington Post could also undercut Republican lawmakers, who didn't wait for details of the case before criticizing a search they claimed was more typical of a tyrannical state. The latest development also further ups the stakes of an escalating legal battle after Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday called the former commander-in-chief's bluff and, in an unusual move, asked a court to unseal the search warrant and inventory of property taken from Trump's home.

Tucker wasn't on last night and those idiots are incapable of original thoughts.

I’ve never been presented with a warrant.  Do they hand you a customer copy?

They serve you with the same Warrant that has been filed with the Court. I presume they handed it to the lawyer who was present at the scene.

That makes sense. I find it kind of humorous that Trump is acting like he doesn’t have a copy of the warrant

I assume, that Nuclear Weapons Materials, receive the highest form of Top Secret Classification status.

If the FBI found those materials in Trump's home he should be arrested immediately and charged with Espionage.

My sense is that they really don’t know what he had. But anyone with a brain can figure out that taking classified documents home isn’t a good idea.  Like I was saying earlier a lot of the technical information is meaningless to an average person, but in the right hands…

And let’s be honest about it. The president is commander-in-chief which means he is head of the military. He has advisers but he’s the main decision-maker.  So you want that person to have the most accurate information which includes stuff like the latest technology that the public has no idea even exists.

And yet, half the people in here are not convinced of this.

His lawyer already confirmed they have both the warrant and also a receipt of the list of items retrieved. They're so flustered, they can't even keep their story straight.

I think he just likes the idea of taking home sheet that is marked "top secret".  He has no interest in the actual details. They are more like a trophy to him.  Just another pooseye he is grabbing.  Possibly thinks they might be of some value down the road or something.

soooo....why would cheeto take classified documents related to nuclear energy to moron-a-lago anyway? what would he want them for?
