He said something similar about his tax returns in 2016...

"I personally want them to be released but my attorneys have decided not to release them."

I think they might be actually dumb enough to go forward with it. Sure feels like slowly, but surely, the "smart" people in his orbit have split, and he's now left with increasingly dumber and dumber people to advise him. He went from people like McGahn, to Cipollone, to Rudy, to Powell, and now this OAN anchor?

These people get dumber by the day.

Trump disclosed secret weapons system to Woodward: book

Trump has a track record of bragging about new weapons that are publicly known, though he’s gone further by disclosing details that were previously unknown.

In May, Trump touted a "super duper” missile he said could travel 17 times faster than anything in the current U.S. arsenal.

Reports later said Trump was referring to the U.S. military’s hypersonic glide body and that the speed Trump disclosed referenced how much faster than the speed of sound the missile flew in a March test.

The Pentagon had announced the hypersonic missile test in March but did not disclose the speed.

https://thehill.com/policy/defense/515700-trump-disclosed-secret-weapons-system-to-woodward-book/

It actually doesn’t bother me that he boasts about weapon capabilities because no one knows if he’s serious or not.

”The greatest missile ever.”

”You’ve never seen a missile this fast.”

”Fake news won’t tell you how great this missile is.”

Etc.

So when you hear "top secret documents related to nuclear weapons" your mind might assume the absolute worst case scenario type of information pertaining to where and how these weapons are staged. But it could also be a bit more benign and, well frankly, stupid, like a document with the budget details of a skunkworks or proposed project, or even simply a high-level summary of an overhaul project that's light on low-level details. Apparently per the Woodward book, he loved bragging about this sort of thing in private, so it's plausible that he still might've been in possession of the latter type of documents, rather than the former. That is, if the FBI actually retrieved anything at all regarding nuclear weapons in the first place.

The Trump administration granted two authorizations to U.S. companies to share sensitive nuclear power information with Saudi Arabia shortly after the killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi in October, a U.S. senator who saw the approvals said on Tuesday.

Jared Kushner secured a $2 billion investment for his private equity firm from Saudi Arabia's sovereign wealth fund last summer, The New York Times reported.

Technical information is where it gets tricky.  Of course to the average person it means nothing, but to a scientist it might be really valuable.

The more I think about it, the more I doubt he was in possession of anything too technical. For starters, he wasn't interested in that sort of stuff while in office, let alone to have tucked away in a box that he ended up taking with him when he left. But also because, anything too important probably wasn't gonna be given to him in the first place. If he needed to be briefed on it, that's one thing, but I doubt the "adults in the room" were dumb enough to let him hold on to anything too valuable for obvious reasons.

There seemed to be few in his administration willing to be the adult in the room.

this...especially at the very end.

Meet Ricky Shiffer, your average Trump Supporter who was then radicalized by Trump.

https://www.cnn.com/2022/08/12/us/fbi-cincinnati-office-armed-suspect-what-we-know/index.html?utm_term=link&utm_source=fbCNN&utm_content=2022-08-12T10%3A10%3A04&utm_medium=social&fbclid=IwAR26MghmlFZY3F6ej_CVDOeVLSqAVZk6VzrzKxz3o65xb9f8VEq3JNUvc4g

A social media account bearing the name of Ricky Shiffer posted on the social media platform founded by former President Donald Trump, Truth Social, appearing to reference his attempt to storm an FBI office.

"Well, I thought I had a way through bullet proof glass, and I didn't," the user posted at 9:29 a.m. Thursday. "If you don't hear from me, it is true I tried attacking the F.B.I., and it'll mean either I was taken off the internet, the F.B.I. got me, or they sent the regular cops while."

On the account, which has only been active the last few weeks, the user posted thoughts that were politically violent and revolution-minded. But it was not until the FBI executed a search warrant on Trump's Mar-a-Lago home that the user began to fixate on responding with violence toward the agency.

"People, this is it," the user wrote on August 8, the day the FBI executed the warrant. "I hope a call to arms comes from someone better qualified, but if not, this is your call to arms from me.

In that post, the user encouraged people to go to gun and pawn shops to, "get whatever you need to be ready for combat."
When another person responded to the user saying that they would be sending his photo and information to the FBI, the user responded by saying, "Bring them on."

On August 9, the user wrote that people were heading to gather in Palm Beach and said that if the FBI broke up the group, "kill them."
The user of the account also claimed they were present in Washington, DC, on January 6, but did not say whether they entered the Capitol.

Ok. Let's see.

Trump was in NY at the time.
Trump claims the FBI planted evidence.
Trump states the evidence is of Nuclear Material.

How is it possible Trump could know the evidence planted is Nuclear Material related? To me it shows consciousness of guilt if in fact the FBI recovered it it shows Trump knew what materials he stole.

Yeah, I guess it depends on the timeline here. Back in 2017, per the Woodward excerpt, there were still guys like Kelly hanging around. But towards the end, I suppose it's possible the idiots still surrounding him started to unwittingly give him enough rope to hang himself with.

He is admitting guilt with that post.  Deflections are hopefully coming to an end.

How do we know he wasn't just borrowing these documents so he could find the breakthrough we needed to achieve cold fusion?

I'm just asking questions.

Yes, a good prosecutor can use the to powerful effect about his intent.

The Trumpbots in here are strangely silent this morning.  What gives?
