I'm sure you are rightly upset with the Trump team use of private email servers.

Right?

Yes he did

I'm pretty tired of the buttery emails nonsense. Hillary was subject to more scrutiny between what, a dozen investigations over Benghazi and the neverending investigation into her emails that played a major roll in Trump being able to break this country?

She used her personal server and her state email concurrently. Which was dumb. But her state email was less accessible on a special purpose blackberry so she often preferred to use her own email. The FBI pored over all the email chatter and there was no pattern of classified emails on the private server. They did find some, but it was something like 100 out of 30k emails they investigated, and most of those were either not marked classified during the exchange or they were retroactively deemed classified.

There are numerous instances of her indicating they needed to switch to the state email when the conversation veered into sensitive issues. And there were almost always multiple state.gov emails on exchanges with her personal email address so those emails WERE archived.

It was careless, but not criminal.

Trump on the other hand specifically shipped at least 25 boxes - that we know of - containing information he knew to be classified, including material rated top secret/SCI that is apparently ONLY supposed to be accessed from controlled locations within government sites.

It's not remotely the same. Stop trying to deflect. Trump stepped in it, accept that he's a criminal.

Procus is a very sensitive old man and he randomly deleted the old thread. He wasn’t even posting in it at the time, I think it all just hurt too much. So I started a new one and the a mod brought his thread back from the dead and combined the two into one giant monument to Procus’s failure. Dude couldn’t even take his ball and go home without stepping in a massive pile of sheet.

This particular shoe, on this particular foot? Doubt it. Especially after that ass clown doxed the agents a day after the field office in Ohio was attacked? Pretty sure we're treading out into uncharted waters here. Unless you know of another US president that was investigated for violations of the espionage act.

It won't be identical, but it'll be some other thing that jams them up. Both parties have nutjobs and idiots who should never be in power. Trump is the latest from the GOP but there will be a DEM in the future. Deserving as he may be, the point is that it is now OK the raid former Presidents' homes, so expect more of that in the future.

Yeah, totally dude. Dems better watch out when they decide to elect traitorous scum like Trump.

It'll be for anything now, not just what Trump did. That's how these things work.

There will be a dem president in the future under investigation for destroying evidence and violations of the espionage act? Have I got that right?

No you don't have that right. It'll be for something else. The point is raid their homes if you want. Personally, I think all the politicians are dirty so it's nothing more than a game of spy vs. spy. All I'm saying is that the pendulum swings back and forth over time so don't be surprised if raids become a common practice in both directions. For what offenses? For whatever either side can find.

With all due respect, your opinions in this thread are retarded.

With all due respect, I find your opinions myopic.

Letting Donald Trump keep boxes of highly classified documents in the basement of his golf club because all future presidents will now be raided is not the content I was expecting in this thread.

I'm here for it.

Um maybe you haven't been following along, but the report is an informant told them there were some highly sensitive documents still in Trump's possession, hence the urgency and thus the warrant. Which was basically confirmed now that the warrant has been unsealed. So yeah, without alleged violations of the espionage act, we likely don't get to this point. That's the main offense that matters here, partner. Violation of the espionage act by a former president. Not sure if you're a history buff, but that's never happened before, and I reckon it'll never happen again. But by all means, continue to pretend like we'll see something like this again just because you're bummed it was your guy that got caught.

Watching them come unglued over the last 4 days has been thoroughly amusing and I hope it continues.
