He’s fortunate he didn’t get dealt to the jets. He would’ve lost his crap when Wilson was at Qb.

He was crouching on the pre snap and he stopped that this year.  Frankly, his reading has improved considerably and across the entire field.  I think his stance pre snap has helped.  Suspect either the offseason coaching or Brian Johnson (or both) probably worked on that with him.  Every little bit helps.  The coaches are getting the plays in quicker which has improved their use of motion.  I had doubts that Hurts could improve his reads but he has.  I suspect the presnap adjustments, both his and the coaches, went a long way towards that.

There is a recent interview with Kelce and Hurts where said he was squatting because Kelce fires the ball back so fast.  He said he needed to get in an athletic stance to field the snaps

As much as I detested TO and the way he destroyed the locker room, the dude was supremely talented and was a better WR than AJ Brown is. Just a dominant force that was such a nightmare for defenses to contend with. Brown is no slouch, and can give defensive coordinators fits too, but not quite on the level that TO was. But because I hated TO so much, if someone insists that it's much closer than I'm implying, I won't argue too much with that, because F TO.

TO also demanded the ball, made it all about him constantly, etc.   Brown seems to be far less of a negative to the team.   For as great as TO was, he was a double edged sword and was as detrimental as he was beneficial.  In fact, I think he was only on the field for ONE playoff victory in his career.  Not necessarily his fault alone, but he certainly played a role in those losses.

What?

Mariota didn't like getting benched so he left the team. Falcons put him on IR even though he could be playing, and no one knows if he will come back to the team.

Playing sixteen games against the AFC South kinda helps.

People don't take into account the games outside the division nearly enough when predicting W-L records.  That rotation matters.

Next season the Eagles draw the AFC East and NFC West.  It will be tougher to have a dominant record with Buffalo, Miami and San Francisco on the schedule, plus playing a first-place schedule for the flex games.

Also assuming KC and Eagles win their divisions would face KC at KC next year.

2023 is a trap year lol

And the Chiefs on the road is the 17th game.

At least the positive is we get Buffalo, Miami and Sf at home

Agreed 100% until the last point. He wasn't at fault at all for us losing to the Pats. Credit is due for him to come back and even suit up at all. Not sure about any losses with the Niners.

Why is that ??

Because we dont throw it well enough - meaning accurate and on time - to leverage his abilities. Brown is a better fit just a go get it wr

Hard to fault either party there. Hill is so damn good, but the Chiefs just couldn't afford to keep him at that cost.

Based off this interview it sounds like hill just didn’t want to be there anymore more than anything. I’m sure money was involved but it sounds like he wanted out anyway cause he wasn’t being targeted enough.

Or, could it be because we have a QB who ranks 15th in attempts, almost 100 attempts behind 5th place.

Yeah but he clearly couldn’t predict this. I think it’s wrong to hold that against him.

I agree.  But I'm sure he's getting crushed on Twitter for it.

Speaking of long snappers... Can we all agree that this is 100% how you make the pro-bowl as a long snapper. Damn, I would be looking like snidely whiplash up there for my photo day 😆

Well, he should be out of the league now.

Devonta is a good #2 WR, who should be the 3rd option once Goedert comes back. He doesn't need more targets.

Yeah seems to be both that and the money. Either way though, he cashed in big time, which I can't fault him for. And the Chiefs are still humming along fairly well in his absence, so can't really fault them for failing to match Miami's offer either.

Last weeks prediction winner was @MillerTime who came closest with a prediction of a 41-20 blowout.

Bonus winners for the week are:

@Aerolithe_Lion Barkley less than 15 carries

@DrPhilly Boston Scott TD

@garingovt2000 Lions beat Vikings

@jamiller Barkley less than 100 and Sanders over 100 rushing yards

@LeanMeanGM Eagles have no false start penalties

@RememberTheKoy Sanders & Hurts both have 60+ rushing yards

@SkippyX Eagles rush for 160+

That’s at least 3 times this year🔥

Attitude, culture, selfishness... hard to say how it all works together.   But, I am a firm believer in good locker room chemistry... or more exactly, I believe that bad locker room chemistry bleeds over to the field in ways that are imperceptible, but have a deleterious effect.  T.O.'s lack of playoff success, I believe can be partly traced back to his creation of a discordant impact on the locker rooms he was a part of.

Devonta should still be the #2 option going into games. Depending on how they are playing him is when Goedert should get more targets or not, unless the other team's LB and S is so inept.

They are related.  Teams won't invest huge money in a WR that doesn't get lots of targets.  Bad economics.
