Depending on his market, it's neither far-fetched nor illogical, much like the 2017 offseason when 1-year value-boosting deals were all the rage for multiple players who felt they could set themselves up for more money.

1 yr $12-17 mil. Somewhere in that range similar to Alshon.

This team needs another edge rusher.  Value in the middle rounds on beef would be best.  The Eagles need to come out of the 1st this year with an edge and a S.

I want another edge rusher.  I think it's a smart move looking forward too to focus on the edge.  But it's hard to say they need one right now with the way Sweat and Reddick have been playing. Especially if they can keep doing short term deals with Graham until he finally decides to retire.

Yes. I’m assuming that spot is going to Goedert

I could see us hanging a lot of points on Chicago. 37 to 20 birds.

Bonus, we get a pick and a fumble.

Fun question for all you PSU nuts...

Miles Sanders walks for more money than Howie is willing to give.  Saquan Barkley feels that he is still only scratching the surface of his potential after his ACL recovery and doesn't like any of the multi-year offers he's getting.  Knowing our offense and OL situation, he wants to come here on a one year deal to get some eye popping numbers.  Are you in?

At what price.

Coming to Philly on Friday. That should be fun

Last weeks prediction winner was @MillerTime who came closest with a prediction of a 41-20 blowout.

Bonus winners for the week are:

@Aerolithe_Lion Barkley less than 15 carries

@DrPhilly Boston Scott TD

@garingovt2000 Lions beat Vikings

@jamiller Barkley less than 100 and Sanders over 100 rushing yards

@LeanMeanGM Eagles have no false start penalties

@RememberTheKoy Sanders & Hurts both have 60+ rushing yards

@SkippyX Eagles rush for 160+

All I do is win, baby.

"Need a Safety in the first round" is a concept that shouldn't exist.

Take the best player, the blue chip guy at a premium position - DL, OT, CB.  Get the top talent and sort it out later.

This is Football Outsiders offense rankings - sorted by Rushing.  You will see that we are #1 AND the gap between us and #2 is the same of that between #2 and #11.

Baltimore and Cincy at #2 and #3 is surprising.

Fun fact, the song was about a tennis league and the Philly team was called The Freedoms.

My understand was that Elton John wrote it for Female Tennis star Billie Jean King, it's been a while since I heard (or read) the story though that I don't specifically remember now.

https://www.footballoutsiders.com/stats/nfl/playoff-odds

Eagles odds to win the SB: 30.9%

Chiefs and Bills combined odds to win the SB 29.7%

Cowboys odds to win the SB 7.5% (too high by about 7.49% IMO)

Yes. Probably saving it for Goedert, although promoting Elliss is a possibility too. That dude is a special teams monster. He could carve out a decent career for himself just for that.

Totally should’ve signed Correa was gonna be cheaper so we could afford rodon…..

Correa was cheaper because he plays 110 games a year.

He is the poster child for will not age well.

That was sarcasm cause the person who wanted rodon said if we went Correa who’d be cheaper we could afford rodon. Meanwhile Turner making 27.27 mil and Correa 26.9 mil.

Also that bryce harper contract looks like a steal at this point. He was 26 and got 13 years $330 mil.

Realistically, the Phils are contenders for the next five years. Along with the Braves in the NL East.

Dodgers and Padres too.

Those four teams will be your NL representatives going forward

We are going to lose.  Not being able to punt is going to swing the Giants great field position at some point.  Puts a lot of pressure on the offense.  I don't trust short Jake playing punter in the wet.   I see a snap going over his head.

Holy F, dude. What the hell kind of overreaction is that?
