Don't think AJ is going to last that long, he's already slow compared to most of his contemporaries, and considering how easily he runs out of gas, isn't exactly a gym rat.

Brown has done an exceptional job getting open this year.  He’s quick and explosive despite having below average speed.

That said, he’s probably got 2, max 3 years of wear and tear with his playing style before he slows down to the point that he becomes a glorified slot receiver with limitations.

Wasn’t too long ago the running joke was teams had us right where they wanted us in 3rd and long…

the two plays in that game that could’ve changed the entire outcome was that play and maddox not finishing the sack. If you make that play Dallas punts and you have the ball up 7. If maddox finishes the sack you are getting a punt ns the ball up 10.

Well said.  Regardless I'd like to see a replay or still frame of that possible PI on Devonta on that last drive.  I swear the defender got there very early and pushed him out before the ball got there.  Would have been 1st and goal at what the 2?

Maybe.  Looking at a couple others who were somewhat similar, Alshon lasted about 8 and TO 15 and this is AJ's 4th.  We shall see.

I thought the defender definitely made contact early and interfered with him. I’m just guessing the official didn’t throw it cause it looked like the ball wasn’t very catchable and was just thrown out of the end zone. Then again seen officials throw a flag on that type of play before.

He’s Anquan Boldin. Boldin played until he was 36 and had 1000 yard seasons at 33 and 34

I think the difference between physical receivers who last and ones who don’t is both work ethic and desire. A lot of the guys who lose skills rapidly as they approach 30 aren’t putting in the kind of work necessary to maintain their physical prowess. Sorry, Alshon, but that’s exactly what happened.

Everything we’ve seen from AJ indicates he’s a workout freak, like TO

Let’s enjoy are 2 Stud wide receivers. We’ve never had this. Somewhere down the road we’ll worry about how much they have left in the tank. As of right now both are more than we could’ve asked for.
F__k the Saints.

The guy is clearly a gym rat, do you even lift bro?

Hes strong as F and get open more than anyone as we’ve seen from the stats. he’s just not particularly fast

Would be first and goal at the 1.   I think that was a very close call, and I doubt Smith would have been able to get his feet inbounds.  The argument could have been made that it was an 'uncatchable' ball, and therefore, no PI.

3rd and 30 give up was one of the wildest things I’ve seen in a long time watching football.

I feel bad for those bums who have to watch that this week and see wtf happened.

Such a frustrating game to watch.  The Eagles had a chance to really grasp momentum at several points but just didn't make the plays.

If Maddox is able to bring Dak down the Eagles most likely go up 3 scores and it becomes a laugher.  Then to later lose Maddox and have to put Josiah Scott on Lamb was a huge turning point.  Maddox was playing some good aggressive ball.

Boston Scott's fumble was the worst though.  It felt like the Eagles were just about to dominate the run game and go up another score.  Wtf?  Hold on to the damn ball!

3rd and 30?  Again wtf?  How do you let that happen?!  Ridiculous

Other than that, I thought the outside running plays were a lost cause.  Better to just go straight at them rather trying to turn the corner.  Gannon once again went into shell.  My lord if they are eating up zone make a f'n adjustment would you!

Hopefully Lane and Maddox are okay. I assume Davis got a concussion (or concussion like symptoms) from the collision with Sweat.  Just win next week and let's get these guys healthy for the run.

Clearly, it is time to elevate Greg Ward.

JK.  Pascal needs those reps.

Yeah Pascal is bigger bodied, more physical stronger hands. Makes no sense to constantly force it to Watkins in certain situations. He's not that guy.
Ward honestly might have done a better job in the situations Watkins failed at, as ridiculous as that may sound.

I wasn’t a Kyle Hamilton fan in the draft, but he’d be a hell of a lot more useful than Jordan Davis right now.

I want Chauncey extended plus another on day two of the draft. Someone better in coverage than Epps

The Eagles have had an incredible ride this year, so it's unfair to just keep whining after a loss in a game that meant very little (I'm saying that as a reminder to myself, not to those of you with criticisms).  So I've got to get 4 main frustrations off my chest, then it's time to enjoy Christmas and be grateful for this team...

1.  They clearly made some business decisions in this game given reduced importance.  And the infuriating irony is that the subsequent losing effort was also the most injury riddled game of the season.

2. The revolving door in the middle of the defensive secondary is going to kill this team unless it stops.  They need CJGJ and Maddox healthy in the worst way.  It's just open season on crossing routes and anything else deep middle.

3. Jordan Davis has had a lousy rookie season.  There, I said it.  Barely plays and still can't stay healthy...and hasn't sniffed the backfield yet as a pro.  Howie found 2 people to more reliably plug holes with 24hr notice.

4.  The Dallas game may have been meaningless, but our Eagles are starting to develop a Dak Prescott monkey on their back.  It was yet another game of failing to slow him down or beat him stacked on top of many prior.  That's certainly going to scare me in a playoff game more than a different team.

We could have clinched the 1st early. I don’t understand why people are saying this was a meaningless game. Just because we can still clinch it doesn’t make that game any less important IMO

Merry Christmas a-holes. @Godfather @downundermike @4for4EaglesNest @EaglePhan1986.  My wife bought me this stocking stuffer ornament from the Christmas Kindlemart in Chicago. I think it was a stolen concept from @RememberTheKoy’s nightmare fueled drawings.

Lol I remember this pic but this if the first time I realized Brown is the other player. I didn’t watch a lot of Titans

That game yesterday really sucked ass. I told myself I wouldn’t be emotionally invested bc it really shouldn’t matter, but I hate the Cowboys so much I got drunk as a skunk and yelled at my TV like an absolute lunatic the entire game whole Carolina in-laws were over.

So the Jets are going to unload Zach Wilson in the offseason.  I never liked him in the draft, but for a later pick…that could be an interesting backup and reclamation coach up and flip project.
