But fact is you people all genuinely believed in Carson Strong.  Proof is in the fact that you all are still defending and making excuses for Strong.  Still unable to admit that he sucks.

I was never ready to die on a hill for this guy, but I was definitely wrong about him if he couldn't even get this far.

Now...I don't want to venture further onto that hill to go die, but something is really odd about this situation.  Not only did he not play in PS, he barely played in PRACTICE.  If the stat I heard is correct (and I didn't fact check it myself), it's the fewest passes an offseason rostered QB has ever thrown in PS for the Eagles.  And I can't even assume that he sucked in practice because he didn't practice.  Do I think he's going to turn him into a starter for someone else?  No, not at all.  But I don't understand why they paid all that extra cash to basically not even get a look.

 

They did give him looks.  The beat writers have collectively stated how awful he looked in practice when he was still getting reps.

Im curious to see what happens to Strong from here. Our PS? Another teams PS? Another team's roster?

Last year we had a talented, strong armed QB who we cut really early on in Jamie Newman. I dont know if he is even still in the league.

Carson Strong though had very positive early reports in rookie camp about picking things up quickly. And then all of a sudden, he started looking horrible, supposedly. And they wouldnt even allow him to throw a pass in pre-season. Its very weird. 

I wonder if he fizzles out the same as Newman or if he sticks around the league for a while. 

These were 2 seemingly very talented QBs that it seems no one wants to even try to develop.

I was not banned for trolling, I was banned because somebody who supposedly had me on ignore, reported me for calling him a fraud when he was pumping up Tom Brady at the expense of the Eagles.

Here’s a cool thing go read what I’ve written about Carson strong in the past. My whole point of you on Carson Strong has been the same thing from the very beginning. I never said he was going to be the savior. The fact of the matter is I said I think they’re going to groom him to be a back up quarterback that has potential upside due to his arm strength.

i also said multiple occasions, the only way he plays this year is it hurts gets hurt or is not playing well and they want to see what he is as opposed to knowing minshew isn’t the future. So that’s been what I’ve said since April when they signed him. So if he goes to the PS, it may be the case of them grooming him to be the backup  

but hey I made excuses for him even though I just said a couple of posts ago that he probably just sucks. But hey reading comprehension isn’t your STRONG suit.

Like I said before the draft and before Carson Strong was an eagle- he was the #1 QB in the draft.

So Im legitimately curious where his career goes from here.

I don’t think Newman is even in the league anymore and he was also a known sheethead. I was optimistic about Carson Strong. I thought he would have been drafted in the 3rd for arm talent alone.  He must also be a huge mental midget bc nothing else makes sense.

And Strong was for sure a better passer than Newman, but Newman had the athleticism going for him with the strong arm. 

Maybe the attitude is the downfall for both of them. 

Same thing happened with Khalil Tate here as well. Was that the same year as Newman, or possibly 1 year earlier. That guy was Malik Willis before Malik Willis hysteria ever existed. He was cut before pre-season. Maybe even before camp. Dont think he is in the league either.

I think Howie liked him but the coaches figured out he was a moron that sucked in two seconds

Honestly the most pathetic thing for a bunch of grown adults to try to do.  I don't know what would be more pathetic, if they actually did that or trying to make it all up in attempt to save face on Strong being awful.
