Jalen Hurts is incredibly durable?     1 full season as a starter, missed a game due to an ankle injury and required surgery at the end of the season.  And now he's running at a ridiculously high rate again... and taking late hits.  Kind of see an injury happening for him.  He might have even been concussed in this past game, but it seemed to have been missed in real time by the independent doctor observing.

Defenders don't like it when QBs run on them.  They get a little annoyed and will absolutely take a shot on the QB if the opportunity presents itself.

You could see how annoyed they were. Especially when he kept converting 3rd downs with his legs. Eventually a defender is gonna say f it, I'm taking a shot (and they did).

I'd need to see it again but it looked like they still went after him even when he slid feet first. Definitely did the one time and it was actually called

I remember seeing Sweat with a couple Mamulas/Barnetts. Arm reaching for the ball. Just that close, but not actually getting there. Bunch of those.

That's the point. Even sliding feet first, defenders are taking shots (and no penalties were called because he slid really late usually).

Hargrove was playing the scheme. The offset DT in the A gap attacks the C. This isolates the other DT in what is commonly in a 3- tech alignment, one-on- one with the G. This alignment goes back to the 70s and Bud Carson’s Steel Curtain. Dwight White lined up like that, isolating "Mean” Joe Green against the RG. Hargrove’s alignment isolates Cox against the RG.

Basically three guys in run support got blocked and the fourth whiffed.

Wasn’t really.  Just pointing out that although running 17 times a game looks crazy on paper, 8 of them were designed runs.
 

And no, we still do not want to see that every week but it did work in our favor yesterday.
