November 14, 20232 yr Kind of feel like Phillies are being used here to up the ante. Dombrowski’s and Phillies is usually max 3 years to RP. Unless hader’s market value has dropped to where he can only get 3 i kind of think he’s getting 5 at least
November 14, 20232 yr Little surprising as dunn, was absolutely killing it in the Arizona fall league or winter league

Feels like the last time they gave more than 3 years was papelbon and it ended poorly. Frankly if nola leaves and Yamamoto goes elsewhere, i think Montgomery and gray are likely targets or they try to trade for cease, burnes
November 15, 20232 yr I have full confidence in Dombrowski to get it done and for Middleton to open the wallet.

I think they’ll get a starter, a bat, a really pitcher and a couple bench bats. I don’t doubt that. I think their philosophical beliefs and analytics show them that they should not give out a contract to a reliever that’s more than three years. The analytics show It’s not smart. And I just think it’s philosophically. That’s what they’ve believed basically since after Papelbon got signed for four years.
