The defense stinks anyways, so it’s gonna be a problem regardless. The bigger issue to me is that you wasted opportunities not moving Harper to the outfield multiple years ago. You know how many first basemen they could have signed along the way that would’ve dramatically changed this lineup and the fortune that they had especially against the Dodgers last year (this years lineup) if they would’ve just made the decision then? not that in order to allow yourself to do it right now you have to have a shittier first baseman in Alec Bohm and give up a top four prospect to do it. Meanwhile signing a Christian Walker, Alonso and etc would’ve cost you nothing but middleton’s money. Heck would’ve saved money on declination projects like Merrifield, Garcia along with bohm’s 10.4 mil

Really don't want Harper back in the OF. He's getting too fragile and its too much wear on his body compared to first base. I'd honestly rather they move Turner out there... not that he'd be great but he sucks defensively as is and he has better speed than Harper.

It’s so irritating because they could’ve just moved Bryce Harper back to the outfield and signed someone like Pete Alonso or Christian Walker years prior, which massively helps this team. They are both right handed bat with power. Which is exactly what they need behind Harper. And they also still could’ve gotten arraez with the money they saved not signing Garcia and Bohm being gone.

It also hurts as Stott is a better defender than Arraez and Turner. So your middle infield gets worse. Analytics don’t love Stott this year but Harper has screwed him on some balls he should’ve allowed Stott to get.
