The Arraez trade should piss you off because he’s another left-handed hitter. And they could’ve just signed him instead of going after Garcia in free agency and not given up a prospect. But Dave decided to get the over the hill outfielder that was two years removed from being good. And instead now had to trade one of the better pitching prospects and fastest rising pitching prospects in baseball for a guy who’s likely gone in two months. Along with an outfield that still sucks

JFC bohm sucks but somehow still on this roster cause Dave refuses to actually get a OF. Meanwhile, for years, I said just move Harper back to the outfield and get yourself a first base that has better power. refused to do it and it cost them multiple times lol

another thing that also should pisses you off, is there gonna move Harper back to the outfield. How many times did I say move Harper back to the outfield and go get yourself a first baseman that can hit for a decent average and give you power in the middle of that lineup? And they refuse to do it cause they didn’t wanna move him to the outfield because he would deteriorate too fast. Now they’re doing it for a guy that doesn’t give you that and you had to give up one of your better prospects.

I’m guessing you use Arraez at the top of the line-up right? Someone sell me on the move.

The fact that he's a left handed hitter is irrelevant.

He's hitting .315 against LHP. He's an elite hitter.

It’s all falling apart. The Phillies denied Bryce over and over again for him to go back to RF even when Bryce said he would do it. The feud between him and DD is a problem and one of them will not be back after this year. This move should piss people off because this should have been done a while ago and picked up a RH bat to put on 1B. So why now? It’s a panic move and DD is on his last breath you can see it right here. This deadline move will not help this team and he’s a good as gone after this. He should be, he needs to be

The fact of a matter is, they have had the opportunity to move Bryce Harper back to the outfield for three years now. They decided to do it to move Bohm over to first base.

Think about this they could’ve moved Bryce Harper back in 2024 to the outfield and sign Pete Alonso like Harper wanted. They could’ve been allowed Bohm to be shipped off just get rid of them and signed arraez in the off-season to play second base and move Stott over the third. Saves $10 mil on Garcia and $10 mil on Bohm to sign Arraez. So realistically because the Phillies decided for years not to move Bryce Harper back to the OF which people said they should do for multiple because you could replace him at first and upgrade the lineup. Hey thankfully, we traded one of our better prospects for a guy who’s gonna be gone in two months and has consistently jumped from team to team for a reason. But thankfully, Dave after three years of people telling him to move bryce back to the outfield decided to finally have an epiphany to move him back to the Fing outfield.

I think deadline experiments are risky. I would rather have this been a change that happened in spring training. Now you’re in a playoff race moving pieces around. I don’t know how I feel about it.

This all goes back to 2025 when Harper wanted Pete Alonso. You would’ve solved so many problems that you had if you signed Pete Alonso and just move Bryce back to right field then. And the Phillies just refused to do it. So instead today they had to give up a top four prospect for a guy who’s gonna be gone in two months and move Alec Bohm over the first to do all this.
