I think they prefer Adell but with extra year left it’s a higher price. I also believe they will attempt to trade for Neto but i don’t think they want to give up what it would cost for a guy who has some big flaws this roster already has. I see them getting a 5th starter unless painter looks good tonight. I kind of think his start tonight is maybe a showcase but also if he pitches well then could see them buying into he could be a fifth starter going forward and they’ll live with the consequences of what he is while address BP and RH hitterVarsho is another lefty. How does he help them? In regard to Hoffman, my lasting memory of him was choking against the Mets in 24 then watching him choke last year in the World Series. Hell yeah Dave, bring that guy back. It'll be different this time.
Friday at 09:48 PM4 days There were fans wanting to bring Bader back this year. That was one move that Dave got right. I didn't want him back at all, especially after he went down in the playoffs with an oblique injury. Shocker, even before his scooter accident, he missed a chunk of the season because of injury.

Varsho can play centerfield.I wouldn’t go after Hoffman. But I also think he’s gonna be dirt cheap because the Toronto Blue Jays wanna get rid of him and his contract for 2027. And the Phillies were probably think they can get him back to what he was here. And it is defense the last two months he’s actually been good.

He’s not good in high leverage situations. He progressively gets worse as the season goes on every year. There’s no reason he should be one of your main guys in the bullpen. He’s not good in high leverage. He’s a mental midget.
Saturday at 01:19 AM3 days Another Mattingly masterclass…. Not using painter to start the inning then not going to Bowlan with game in the balance
Saturday at 01:55 AM3 days Like I said, you’re gonna trade prospects for a team that has no chance at winning a World Series. So you’re just making moves to feel better about the fact that well at least we made the playoffs and you just gotta make the playoffs in order to potentially reach the World Series. No you’re not good against good teams. The proof it’s in the pudding. You just don’t wanna believe your windows shut and are willing to make dumb decisions because you don’t wanna believe it. They’ve shown you this is not a good enough team.

Dude blows. He never should have been brought back after that absolute disaster to end the season. F kerkering. Also fitting that this team has wasted 2 quality starts in a row by their worst starters. I hate pretty much every pitcher that isnt wheeler or sanchez. Actually I like luzardo as well. Duran is fine. F everyone else on that staff

His value is at a low. You trade him at best you’d get someone like a Kevin Gausman to replace him who’s been better but still not good this year and a FA at years end. While painter may or may not be a bust, he has more value in hoping he learns from this year and turns it around then dealing him for a guy that isn’t changing your fortunes in the postseason and is likely a rental with what his value is.

Saturday at 06:27 PM3 days Arozerena who I said they should’ve went after three years ago and they would have one of their outfield spots complete

Sunday at 04:28 AM2 days It was obvious he was going there. There’s already been rumors that he was gonna sign there as a free agent regardless. That’s why the package is kind of underwhelming as other teams weren’t gonna give up that good package knowing that he was just gonna leave in two months and you still aren’t guaranteed to be the best team going into the postseason.
Sunday at 04:57 AM2 days Pretty good breakdown. There’s some other stuff as well Not really touched upon with mccourt’s going bankrupt
Sunday at 09:59 AM2 days Here's what the Dodgers gave up for Skubal:Detroit acquired Zyhir Hope (No. 5), River Ryan (No. 7), and Brady Smith (No. 17) in the Dodgers’ prospect rankings.Zyhir Hope — Ranked No. 5 in the Dodgers’ system A 21‑year‑old outfielder with 60‑grade power, strong athleticism, and top‑20 status among all MLB prospects. Considered the headliner of the deal.River Ryan — Ranked No. 7 A near‑MLB‑ready right‑handed pitcher with a 65‑grade fastball and 60‑grade slider, already pitching in Triple‑A. Viewed as the "rotation replacement” piece Detroit wanted.Brady Smith — Ranked No. 17 A high‑upside Class‑A right‑hander with strikeout ability, considered more of a developmental arm but still inside the Dodgers’ top‑20 prospects.
Sunday at 10:51 AM2 days The Dodgers might be the ONLY professional franchise that out-Howie's the rest of them! Jesus.......
