July 18, 2025Jul 18 Luzardo is nothing more than a #4, which is fine. But those first 2 months of the season were definitely flukey as hell.

Would also like it known i wanted Randy arozarena last year who is an all star this year with another season of control.
July 19, 2025Jul 19 Couldn't even get through 5 innings against the Angels. Wow. He's definitely going to the bullpen come playoff time. Guess Nola will be the #4.
July 19, 2025Jul 19 Starting off the 2nd half just great. Luzardo not only cant even get through 5 innings, but also coughs up a 4-1 lead and the bullpen chokes the game away. Oh and the bottom of the lineup is a GIGANTIC blackhole. 1-7 with RISP. Rinse and repeat.
July 19, 2025Jul 19 Good game. This team has potential, Love the bullpen and lineup, Kepler and Stott are ready to break out ,Marsh is a wizard in CF

July 19, 2025Jul 19 I really think it’s a bad idea to put Painter in the pen. He’s recovering from TJ, struggling in AAA, and can barely go 5 innings. Winding him down to single inning duty in the bullpen is going to be immensely counter productive.I don’t really care what they do with Abel and Luzardo, so if you want to transition them into bullpen help, that’s fine. But just trade Painter if that’s what you want. Don’t mess with an already turbulent road to the majors. Otherwise he’s still going to be figuring out how to last 5 innings in AAA this time next year. A 23 year old Painter in AAA next year falls off all the MLB top prospect lists and just doesn’t have the same value.Trade him or develop him right, but don’t put him in the pen.I will also continue to beat the drum of how tragically overrated this farm system and every one of its prospects are. Another year goes by…somehow the hype is still going….and no help coming up from the farm. A perennial reality.

They’re ranked middle of baseball, which is pretty much accurate to what they are. The biggest issue the Phillies have is that their international prospect pool stinks. you wanna be like the Braves, Dodgers, the Yankees farm systems, it’s not just drafting and developing. It’s about spending the money internationally and adding it to who you draft and develop. The issue is the Phillies aren’t even in the top two tiers of this. In the last 20 years of international Players the phillies signed and developed they’ve had Caesar Hernandez, Freddie galvez, Franco, Ranger, Hector neris and Dominguez who’ve had major type of contribution. Really galvez and Hernandez are about to be 20 years in 2006. right now it’s Escobar and Tait and nothing really else in the minors. When your best international signing is Ranger Suarez and then your next best is galvez or Dominguez or neris there’s a major issue.
