July 11Jul 11 Nola was at no fault in this one...so I apologize to Nola for the stray he's going to take here...But you really have to wonder if the team is mentally not showing up on games that feature their 4th and 5th starters. Whats the fielding %, slugging %, runs scored, etc in 4/5 starter games versus 1/2/3 this year? You go into 2/5 of your games with the mentality that you are losing unless you score 10...that grinds on you over time.

It’s amazing because his last two are his best two starts in a while and yet somehow the Phillies offense has been bad in the last two starts of his

There is no pattern here of when they score runs being dependent on pitcher.

So they are averaging 2.8 runs in their last 8 games. Scored under 3 in 5 of the 8

July 11Jul 11 We are playing Detroit right now. DD should be closing the deal.Make the Phillies acquire Skubal announcement right after the All-Star break.

Bullpen since June 1 has a 5.13 era (has to be close to the worse in baseball over that span). 3 dominant pitchers. Luzardo since May 14 has a sub 2 era. Yet last two rotation spots are awful. Yet somehow in a good NL are the 5 seed and out of 4 seed by .5 game and just 3 behind Atlanta for NL east with a -17 run differential

July 11Jul 11 I like the prospect of the kid if healthy but Daniel Jackson going right after I like more as he is a power hitting catcher that won triple crown in the SEC. Had 32 homers in 67 games. was golden spikes winner. The Phillies badly need a catcher in their system. And this kid could be ready in two years.
