I’m guessing they do what one of the things i suggested a couple weeks back. Piggyback him with Rangel. Nola usually has been able to get through 3 innings without giving up massive damage. So I think what you do is you give him 3 innings and then you piggyback him with Rangel and give him three innings. To get you by with the fifth starter spot. They still need to trade for another starting pitcher. Cause they’re not gonna make it through the year having nola and Rangel as they are two starting pitchers in that rotation.

I’m guessing they get another stadium by then. It would be 72 years old. Some of the newer stadiums in the 90s haven’t even made it til 2026.

On Nola breaking down with 2 outs every time.

The issue with Nola is this, he doesn’t have a decent fastball anymore. So there are games where he can get by for a couple innings with his offspeed stuff. But eventually teams are either gonna sit on that or if he doesn’t have good control with it, they’re gonna let it go and wait until he has to throw a fastball and then they crushed his fastball.

Feels like could be a game where nola stinks and the offense doesn’t do anything.

At this point I’d be surprised if we scored. Nola settled in then again royals stink outside of Witt and like 1-2 other guys so he probably should be decent

Yes it’s the Royals but all you can hope for at this point is 5 innings and no more than 3 runs. Up to the pen and the offense now.

Finally got to 6 innings for the first time in over a month. Albeit the royals but really his next start is Detroit. He should be able to have similar success.

I know they’re trying to keep McFarlane in double A to keep his value up in terms of deadline trade. But if that kid is throwing gas and he looks good, you might as well try him at triple A then at the major level. Cause if he winds up being good then that takes up a spot in your bullpen. Their bullpen is atrocious outside of like three guys.

Sanchez blew his load in May cause 3 of his last 5 starts he’s given up 3, 5 and 6 ERs. This game is already over.

Also why starting 10 below is hard because weren’t going to play 20 games over pace all year and eventually go into a slump.

To be fair, Turner effed him royally with that horrid throw. They compete that double play, who knows how the rest of the game plays out.

Frankly i don’t think he’s been nearly as sharp the past couple games besides the pirates one. Even when he did well, he has not been as crisp as he was in May.
