July 2Jul 2 Dumbaski needs to be tarred and feathered for the abomination of a bullpen he put together this year. Bringing Alvarado back was just icing on the cake.

If you were gonna do it, it should’ve been significantly less. First he got suspended. Second was only been good for the month since June 2024. He was on PEDs when it happened. On top of that he was hurt when he came back. Like that should’ve been enough info for you to be like you know what we can’t pay this.
July 2Jul 2 Oh look, another scrub DD picked up off the scrap heap- career minor leaguer Lou Trevino, who now has an ERA over 15. JFC.

Morrey got ripped when he was here, and rightfully so and i think DD is just as bad, especially with his smug ass attitude. Heck, I think Roseman gets more heat from the media than DD does and he brought us 2 titles!

If that 2022 Phillies team did not make it to that World Series, I think Dave would be in way more trouble for his job and media scrutiny. If they didn’t it looks way worse than he didn’t capitalize on Harper, wheeler and Schwarber’s primes

July 3Jul 3 Ive been a broken record about this sequence, but it's so difficult to hone in on any other issue. In the regular season, in a 5 game sequence, they've got 2 games they are overwhelmingly likely to win when Sanchez/Wheeler start, 2 games they are overwhelmingly likely to lose when Nola/committee slog through it, and one game that is a toss up based on which Luzardo shows up. That's not sustainable for their bullpen or for Sanchez/Wheeler. In a playoff series, Sanchez/Wheeler will be opposing frontline starters and the "overwhelmingly likely to win" proposition drops significantly. As a consolation, they do at least eliminate one of their "overwhelmingly likely to lose" matchups by transitioning to a 4-man rotation...but carrying even one of those anchors can be a death sentence in a series. And that's still a really tough slate of starting pitching matchups for a team that is supposed to be carried by...the starting pitching.

July 4Jul 4 10 years ago when starting pitchers would throw 115+ pitches and go 8 innings, I say all in for Tarik. These days, even the best pitchers usually only go 7 innings, sometimes 8 if their pitch count is low enough. The bullpen will be used every playoff game most likely before they get to Duran. I say go after Aroldis and solidify the 8th and 9th inning. If Duran is tired or worn out, he can close too.

July 5Jul 5 They really should try to let this kid be a RP up here and he definitely should’ve already been in triple A. Kind of feels like they are trading him at the deadline so keeping him there as he’s pitching really well
July 5Jul 5 quite the fall by Cabrera. Was a good prospect and a kid they thought could be a back end of the rotation as starter at the beginning of the year to no longer in their system. He was awful and they couldn’t fix him
July 5Jul 5 Would be great to see the tri centennial , not likely I will see it but I bet they roll out harper and schwarber and have an old timers home run contest, along with starting SS Trea turner
