Arraez has been Kevin Long’d

It really is impressive how quickly he ruined a fantastic hitter. There should be studies done

I just checked the standings and see we are 7-3 over the last 10. Feels more like they've gone 4-6.

The schedule in August is much easier than September’s. They need to be winning these games.

Like pulling teeth to win those games. Even sadder to think about they probably should’ve won 2 of 3 against Toronto. So they could be better than 7-3 and be 8-2

September is going to be brutal. Especially when you consider the dbacks play SF 4 times in September and padres play Rockies and SF 7 times. Dbacks are a hilarious team. They are 14-3 vs. Rockies and giants. And 3 games under .500 against everyone else. They really need to hope to go 12-12. And just go on a tear the rest of this month.

Been good. When he gets himself into trouble still is the walks and it gets his pitch count up.

Too many non competitive pitches

That too. It’s what’s keeping him from going deeper into games.

For F sakes

Unbelievable

This team is just the drizzling sheets

I turned it off after that I don't even care if they do win now. Losers

Only this team can have the bases loaded no outs and score nothing

I hate this team

good thing we just traded away a good prospect for a guy who isn’t a cleanup hitter and is now 0 for his last 15.

Fire Mattingly

Sounds like Sanchez told them he was done

Again, these are the slashes for Arraez 1-4 in the lineup. He has 200 PA at 4 hole. He is considerably worse, hitting cleanup than any other spot in the top of the order. Yet the Phillies think they’re smarter than everybody else to keep using him there when that’s not his best place in the order. And it’s shown over the course of time.

Imo it was less about pulling Sanchez. And more about using a rookie who you Phillies have avoided calling up most of the year. And when you did call him up the first time you didn’t even really use him. And throwing him into the heart of the Cardinals lineup in a high leverage situation.

Frankly, if he was up in June like he probably should’ve been then you worked with him to get him to that point it makes a lot more sense. But then again the Phillies do things like this all the time. Crawford last year who was completely ready and just avoided doing it when they badly needed OF help.

Also Mattingly is a crappy manager in terms of making pitching decisions. He’s hurt them at least 6-7 times since July 1 with just poorly planned pitching changes. It’s why i rather have made Cotham the interim. If Cora doesn’t take this job then I’m guessing Cotham is in the group for it. I didn’t think Mattingly should’ve gotten it. with Cotham you would’ve gotten some knowledge of what he could be as a manager so that if Cora rejected you again, you would have some knowledge on what he showed with this team.
